I had my baby shower yesterday! And now it's official, my unborn daughter has way more clothes than i do! heheh

so what did i get? i got tons of clothes including a pair of newborn jeggings from my mom (lol), a little purple zebra striped skirt with bloomers underneath, tons of adorable little pink outfits and sleepers, disposable diapers and LOTS of wipes (i wanted a lot of wipes to use until i get the knack of cloth wipes, i still havent decided on a system), diaper pail for the disposables, silver baby mocassins (look kinda like Toms!), pink baby ballet flats, lots of washcloths and baby toys, like 5 or 6 little knitted baby hats that my sister got from work (all the little old ladies knit them for the babies at the hospital and nobody gives them out so they just sit in the closet in a garbage bag...so she rescued some and gave them to me!), blankies, gift certificates and more stuff im not thinking of right now!

oh and of course MIL got me some pacifiers - even though she KNOWS i don't want to use them right away (if at all). they are really cute though, like ultra tiny newborn paci's in this little storage pod....but NO! haha i'm not letting the cuteness suck me in! (pun intended hehe) i just didn't approve of how much she used the paci with a newborn. basically she never felt like figuring out why the baby was crying so she'd shove the paci in until the baby was beside himself screaming because she'd been ignoring his signals that he needed food/love/changing etc. if you've tried everything and baby is colicky or whatever, ok use a paci, but yeah she's using them out of laziness. /rant

so yeah it was a huge success! i also got a loaner baby swing (the oldschool crank up kind-awesome!) and a set of bigger cloth diapers to borrow from my friend. My dh has moved the set of Bummi's CD & diaper swappers stash that i bought and i CANNOT find them, i'm pretty pissed about it. but anyways i have the loaner CD if all those other diapers are really gone :'(

we then stopped at this HUGE mall on the way home, spur of the moment, cuz dh wanted some new hockey equipment. um yeah i dont reccommend wearing heels to walk around a mall at 8.5 mos pregnant! i thought i was going to drop a baby in the pickle barrel bathroom hehe. but it was fun actually, i never go to that mall. then we went out for dinner with MIL & came home and i showed him all the shower stuff

I saw all the pics on facebook you posted. You and your sister are GORGEOUS! The baby shower looked like a great hit. Just stow away all those pacifers for just in case. I never used any either...Jenna refused them. I agree about going to the mall in third trimester, no thanks!
