Here's my day this Tuesday.
Dh hands me the monitor, Matthew is stirring. He plays in his crib for a surprisingly long time while I lay in bed.
I go get Matthew from his crib, he is not happy I'm taking a photo instead of picking him up.
I take him to my bed and he nurses for awhile and I enjoy snuggling with him.
I brush my teeth, put contacts in, all that jazz.
Get Matthew dressed and diapered.
Get myself dressed.
My cat Stormy is up and ready for her breakfast.
I ran the dishwasher last night and Matthew LOVES to help me unload it. He's great at it too, he hands me all the silverware and plates from the bottom level. It's going to be great when I am huge and pregnant and not having to bend down to unload the dishwasher.
I scramble some eggs and Matthew has eggs and toast for breakfast. I have a breakfast sandwich with eggs and cheese on it.
Spend a little time on JM, Facebook, Hotmail while I eat and Matthew plays.
My mom's group had a meetup at a local church that has an indoor playground open to the public. Great for cold/rainy/hot days. It is still a little overwhelming for Matthew if/when he gets seperated from me but we had a good time and I got to spend some time chatting with the other moms when Matthew stopped for a snack.
Back home and lunch for him is leftover chicken pot pie and strawberries.
I nurse him a little then put him down for a nap.
I have vegetable soup for my lunch once he is in his crib. Then I lay down and rest while he naps.
Matthew gets up, nurses some and then I start some laundry.
I also put together pocket diapers that I washed the day before.
We share a snack of hummus and crackers.
We go upstairs and Matthew plays while I talk to my mom on the phone. (My phone's background is a pic of newborn Matthew I can't bear to change.)
Stormy is hanging out upstairs too (not for long). Matthew loves to lay his head down on her and say "awww".
His latest obsession is...marbles! Ugh! Dh let him play with them and now that's all he wants to do. So he plays with them but only while closely supervised. He loves to pour them into different containers.
We play a game of what Matthew calls "git choo". I chase him around either standing or on my hands and knees and say "I'm gonna get you!" It always make him laugh so hard.
We go downstairs and I pick up the living room and vacuum. I also cleaned up the kitchen several times during the day but I don't have pics of that.
Matthew's dinner is leftover spaghetti, brocolli, and blueberries.
Dh gets home! He plays with Matthew while I go cover up our tropical plants since it's supposed to freeze tonight.
I also have a hibiscus in a pot that I bring inside. It's already not looking too happy. I have to put it in our powder room and close the door so my cat doesn't chomp down on the leaves. (side note, door got left open twice in the past few days and I have cleaned up vomit with leaves in it several times now)
Then I go pick up a hot n ready little ceasars pizza! Dh was supposed to pick it up on his way home but he forgot. Dh and I eat and give Matthew some with the cheese taken off.
Matthew plays while Dh "supervises".
Dh gives Matthew a bath.
Warm and toasty in his towels. He is smiling probably because he just peed on his changing table.
In jammies and time for bed. I nurse him a little, Dh rocks him and he is put down where he plays a little then goes to sleep. Never thought I'd see the day!
He has Mother's Day Out the next day so I get his lunch ready. Sunflower seed butter and jelly sandwich, peas and carrots and blueberries.
Clean up the kitchen and then internet time for me. Spend some time reading about how to consign through a JBF sale.
Crawl into bed with a cup of hot chocolate. My mom found this Sea World mug with my name on it at a garage sale for twenty five cents.
Currently reading through this book that I borrowed from my LLL leader.
Bedtime and the tradition that started while pregnant with Matthew and continues with Bitty Baby. I pat my belly, "night night baby, I love you!"
