Anyone dreaming of Spring yet? I'm ready for nice weather. I'm over being stuck inside the house.

I'm ready for warm weather and doing some fun things in the spring! I'm ready to go strawberry picking! Just thinking about it makes me want to plant a little garden but that probably won't happen.

I'm looking forward to having a small patio garden this spring. I think we are just going to try tomatos this year. I have a black thumb so it should be interesting.

I did some basil a couple years ago and it was the one thing that really did well and was super easy! My problem is we have this awful clay soil so either I have to do everything in pots or we have to bring in soil and make a real "garden". (big pain!)

The soil here is bad too. We don't have a big enough yard for a garden in the ground. I read that it's better to do raised beds or planters anyways. It's suppose to be easier. I'm going to this: Food Map Container - Eartheasy.com Solutions for Sustainable Living and maybe this: Square Cedar Raised Garden Planter, 3' x 3' - Eartheasy.com Solutions for Sustainable Living Maybe I try to grow some basil too.

Those containers look neat. I always think I want to do a ton of stuff and then it doesn't happen so it's probably better to do just a couple things. You should try the basil, you can keep harvesting the leaves a litle at a time through the whole growing season. I used to make a pasta with homemade pesto sauce with my basil, it was great!

please count me in! We got snowed in again today with 4 inches. I'm going stir crazy for sure. And Scott won't let me help shovel, so we're literally snowed in as he is too lazy to shovel and we don't own a snowblower. Boo!

BTW, we have strawberry plants and they make super yummy berries. I can't wait for June to come (that's when they ripen).

I was stuck in the house today too. I'm in the Indianapolis area so I'm not far from you. Do you know about how far you are from me? I'm guessing maybe 2-3 hours? We got a few inches of snow on top of the 1/2" of ice. I've been stuck in the house for weeks! It's been either due to bad weather or Oliver being sick. The only time I left the house has been to go grocery shopping. Oliver needs to get out because it's been like 3 weeks since he has had fun outside of the house.

Every year I think about starting with tomatoes and last year I wanted to do several things. We have been here for almost 5 years and I still have not tried to grow tomatoes. This year I'm going to do it. I think Oliver will have a lot of fun watching them grow. Last summer he loved helping me water the flowers.

We got out today with the boys and inlaws. Was so nice!! Took down the Christmas lights, did some yard work. We were just in sweaters and it was wonderful!! I am so ready for warmer weather. I want to go play outside and not worry about AJ getting to cold.

Last summer I was so pregnant and slobbish... i didn't really get to enjoy our back yard! So I cant wait till this summer Watch AJ toddling around in the grass

It's been in the 70's and 80's here for a few weeks We've had a couple of days in the low 60's and a couple days of rain, but since the first of the year it has been goooorgeous! I planted flowers, have been wearing sandals, and we've had to turn our AC on a few times.

Sorry, not trying to rub it in....much

Yeah, I'm kind of over the snow now and we're supposed to get more in a few days. I think Liam has had school only a handful of times since the first of the year because of all the closings.

Right now we have at least a foot on the ground with a nice sheet of ice over top. It was warm yesterday--in the upper 40s!--but it's dropping down again tomorrow.

I like the snow but being bombarded like this over and over again is a big much. It'll be so nice for the kids to be able to play outside again!
