Any suggestions to get this board moving...games, exciting topics, random thoughts, ttc updates, recipes, anything?

What we really need IMO are new members. New members that feel like they are a part of our community (as they would be) so they don't leave us entirely for a ddc when the time comes. To get that I think we need a host. But I know everyone is too busy to host... Including myself.

But in the mean time a few topic starters might help! Speaking of recipes, I am looking high and low for a nice, rich chocolate chocolate chip cookie recipe, so if anyone has one, give it up!! I'm begging here. Must... have... chocolate...

Oops I just realized we have hosts! I didn't know that. I wonder why their names aren't at the top of wttcg like they are in wttc?? They should come post here some!

You know no one really posts about what's going on in their lives anymore. Our ttcers don't post about their ups an downs, no preggy milestone posts or baby milestone posts. That's the problem. I think it is partially because not as many people are here to reply. But maybe if we started making more of guises posts our members would check back in more often.

I'm guilty of being MIA for a while myself and I never expected to come back to a dead board. It made me sad to see it that way so I've been trying to be around more. I thought maybe something bad happened while I was gone that broke up the board, but I'm thinking it is just a case of everyone bein in the same boat as me... Not a lot of time to post. That and evil fb has taken over.

It looks a lot like the recipe I just tried. I'm thinking I might try substituting the cocoa and some of the butter with melted bittersweet chocolate... Have you tried anything like that? Although I'm no baking expert so it might end in disaster! Lol I think that's part of my problem.

I haven't tried that but I do sometimes mash up a few extra chocolate chips and I mix in the chips with an electric mixer so it chips them up a little. After they are done baking and have cooled, we always heat them up in the microwave for about 15 seconds right before we eat them b/c it remelts the chips and they taste like they just came out of the oven!

A lot of persons from the old group post mainly on FB now. I miss the activity that used to be here.

I know some persons still visit here and would post if there were interesting topics so I'm trying to think of ideas that would spark interest.


The last few PMs I sent for Picture Mom and A Day in The Life did not get any response so I figured persons are tired with those at the moment.

As for the chocolate cookies recipe, I couldn't help there as I'm not that good with baking but I remember sometime ago there was a 5 minute chocolate cake/microwave recipe that was posted and I tried that and it was good, not great but good enough for a quick fix.

I'll have to see if I can't find a link to it.

Jen, I know it may be difficult to stick around when so many of us have children. I don't like that it hasn't been an easier journey. I do learn so much from all the different experiences that I've been exposed to here on JM and I hope you stick around so that we all can share in your success story.

I don't post a lot because of a very demanding baby but hopefully I'll have more time eventually.

I miss how this board use to be and wish it would become more active again. It seems a lot of us post updates and daily things on the WTTC Grads FB page. This board just isn't the same anymore but we can make it something new and it would be great to get active new members. So many of the old WTTC Grads stopped posting some time ago and more have dropped off since. I guess everyone is in a different place now than when we are started ttc. Makes me sad but it's what happens.

I miss how this board used to be too, but honestly its just hard to find time to even get on the computer... I hate posting from my phone so I only get a few minutes here and there to get on... Life with a baby is sure busy

I wish I had some suggestions but I'm fresh out. I don't get much time to get on here with 3 very active kids but I can try to make some more time. I miss how this board used to be as well but I think we can make it nice again.

I miss this board too! I used to check in here first thing every day, even before FB! But yeah, it's definitely slowed down big time. I do have a little more time on the computer these days since Xander is more independent and I'm not constantly having to entertain or cater to him... I don't even go to my Playroom here, I just never got into it when it was my DDC. Not sure why, it just didn't click. So really this is the only place on JM I visit.

I have to drop DH off at work so I can have the car today, but I promise I'll post later! I always have a zillion questions or things to talk about, I just never get around to posting!

I can never keep up with FB as I usually just get to glance at it in the evenings or on rare occasions during the day.
