New York City. I love big cities. But I'd have to be rich so I wouldn't have to live in a super tiny appartment
Or maybe someplace warm. California sounds nice.

I'd pick New England. I'd have to visit more to know which area/state. I've been to Vermont and loved it there. I use to love big cities to live in but not so much anymore.

I'm not a big city girl. We are not far from NYC, not a fan.
I'm with you Resi, our dream is to move to Maine--love love love it there and it just felt like home.

I love small towns! Right now we are living in a college town in Texas and I am thoroughly enjoying it. If we were able to live here for the rest of my life, I'd be totally happy

Tough one. Another Caribbean island but I'm not sure which one.
ETA: I only just realised the post asked about living anywhere in the US. I've only visited a fraction of the states so I really can't say definitively. From where I've visited I would choose Chicago for now. But I'm not sure about the winters.

I'd love to live in Michigan near my family, but we live by my husband's family in Canada.

I would 100% want to move back to Oregon, or at least somewhere in the Pacific Northwest.

In case you couldn't tell, I'm fishing for ideas on where it would be a great place to move to.

Are you planning a move soon?
We'll probably be moving in the next 2-3 years after DH finishes grad school to wherever he can find a professor position. I'm nervous b/c we may be moving out of state and I've never lived anywhere else!!
Have you looked at the Carolinas. I always thought that would be a really pretty place to live.

Come to the Indy area! Low cost of living (super cheap compared to NJ!), family friendly, lots to do with the kids, great schools, and you'd have a friend! It's not beautiful like New England, the Carolinas, or PNW but those areas are more pricy too. We still have pretty flat farm land and big cities near by.
Are you looking at relocating soon? Or dreaming/hoping to make it happen?

We're possibly planning a move too, Jenn! We've been looking into Summerville, SC/Charleston, SC. You only get ONE life to live and Jason and I dont think we need to live our life in crappy/cold weather for more than 1/2 the year every year.

We're looking to get out of here asap! Our goal is to be gone before the boys start school in the fall.
We could really end up anywhere, depends on where a job surfaces. We could be anywhere from Oregon to Florida to Alaska! It's actually pretty exciting to embark someplace new.
We just hate it so much here, just about anything would be better!

I'd go with Oregon out of those choices! GL! I know you will be walking on air the day you move out of your situation.

Santa Fe, NM! It's the best ever. If you like outdoors stuff that is, its very small town, artsy vibe too.

There's so many possibilities. Our first choice is Maine but we've got feelers out in MA, TX, AK, PA, etc.
