Hah! I wish. Now that we are parents and we both work our house is a wreck most of the time. We stay on top of the kitchen and the floors, but the rest we do when we can. We always seem to be going, even on the weekend, so it is hard to find the time. When we do find the time we are so exhausted we just want to relax for once. And on top of that our household keeps getting sick from daycare, so that makes it even harder!

Wow I am just full of excuses aren't I?

I'm on top of the tidying, not the deep cleaning. My bathroom and floors need attention badly! But at the end of the day, everything is in it's place, dishes washed, etc etc. Laundry I get behind on often but not too bad haha.

I don't have a daily schedule for cleaning. I do things when they need to be done. I keep the kitchen cleaned up after each meal which means cleaning it 3 times a day! Bathrooms maybe once per week but sometimes I let them go a few days longer. I vacuum and mop once per week. Dusting could be done every few days but that doesn't happen. It's more like once or twice per month! I could do a lot more every day but I just don't feel like it.

I've tried keeping a daily schedule but it never really sticks. The kitchen gets cleaned everyday. I vacuum 3-4x a week, I have a cat that sheds constantly. I rotate wiping bathrooms down every other day (I switch which room Madi gets her bath in and the first 5 minutes or so I wipe down the sinks and toilet and then the tub when Madi's done playing. I deep clean the bathrooms about every 2 weeks. I try to do laundry on Mondays and Thursdays. The rest of the house I just try to keep picked up. I'll be honest, I rarely dust....maybe 6x a year

I'm doing pretty good as far as laundry goes, but I have a hard time keeping up with everything else these days.

Oh I forgot laundry too! That is something we actually stay on top of and have a regular schedule with. I have to take credit where I can!

Yeah....my house is embarrassingly messy on the verge of being dirty. Okay it probably should be considered dirty. I don't clean every day, I can barely do anything right now because of how much pain I'm in. We are using paper plates and plastic silverware and DH does the dishes most of the time since I hate doing them anyways. I do enough laundry so we have clean clothes to wear. I really need to do a major declutter and purge of the entire house but it is really hard because I can't really lift or move anything myself. I just hope I can get my crap together before the baby comes. My mom is coming in August so she will help with whatever else needs to be done.

I stay on top of cleaning. I vacuum/sweep the entire house most Saturdays and the downstairs usually gets mopped as well. My home will stay in good condition for about a week and it could go longer but I don't let it. If it's raining alot or if the lawn has been mowed I may have to sweep/mop the downstairs during the week as it can get a bit dirty then. I do not thoroughly dust weekly. I clean surfaces but about 2 times a year, I get all the items from shelves and clean them off. I do not like my home to be untidy or dirty. It makes me feel icky plus people tend to "drop" by unannounced.

Because I do my cleaning regularly, it's does not take a long time to do the full house on weekends. To vacuum/sweep/mop will take me under an hour and to wipe, clean mirrors, etc, if I have to, will take 30 mins - 1 hour. I'm usually done within 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

I try to stay on top of cleaning because I like things to be neat. I usually do a full cleaning every weekend and then vacuum at least one other time during the week (we have a dog and two cats so my floors get bad quick!). I'm really bad about clean laundry pile up in baskets. There's nothing I hate more than putting laundry away!

Do you stay on top of it? No, not anymore
Do you have a schedule for cleaning? Nope, just whenever it starts to bother me
How long does your house stay clean before you have to start over? One day, tops.

Living in a 900 sqft apartment with a toddler who has WAY TOO MANY toys = giant mess every single day. Also, everything about this place is too small for us. No counter space, horrible storage inside (although we have a 2 car garage that we use soley for storage), no cabinet space, etc. We have both of our desks in the living room which always adds to the feeling of clutter (mine is nice and clean and actually looks pretty, but DH's is always a mess). All of our bowls, plates, glasses and mugs are in ONE CABINET because there is no space. We are packed in here to the brim so things start to feel messy and cluttered so much faster than when we lived in a bigger place.

Also, Reid is a great mess-maker. He drops his snacks all over the floor, spills his drinks sometimes, pours out his lincoln logs, flash cards and matchbox cars.

I am so tired of cleaning and picking up

I try to keep on it but with being pregnant it gets hard, plus these kids are so messy! As I clean they are right behind me messing things up again. Plus DS has this issues with his toys being put up, he can't stand it, they HAVE to be on the floor.. even though anywhere else he picks up after himself

Do you have a schedule for cleaning? HA!
How long does your house stay clean before you have to start over? About 5 minutes.

Usually once a week I do a deep clean, but then I am brought to the verge of tears when it's a complete disaster by that night. We have hardwood floors on our main floor and it takes me an hour+ to vacuum and mop them - then the dogs track in tons of crud from outside and Xander dribbles milk or spills snacks all over them. I clean the bathrooms every 1-2 weeks (we have 3 bathrooms, so it's not like when you have 1 and it gets dirty really fast). I'll tidy them throughout the week, though. I keep the kitchen pretty clean. I wish I kept it cleaner, but we have a small kitchen and it only takes one meal to clutter it up, so if I'm running other errands or have other cleaning that needs to get done then the kitchen will look like a complete disaster. Laundry is ongoing, we cloth diaper and I have to wash them every other day. I squeeze in other loads as need be, though I probably put them off a little longer than I should.

I'm just so sick of all the toys and books!!! Part of me wants to take everything off the main floor and make Xander play only in his room or the basement (we have a little playroom down there), but we spend most of our time on the main floor and I know it wouldn't be fair to him. I'm just sick of the mess! And DH won't do a dang thing because I am a SAHM and he thinks I should be able to keep this place spotless, ya know, because I sit around all day twiddling my thumbs. haha. He never complains, though, he always says after a day with Xander on the weekends that he doesn't know how I do it all because it's all he can do to get himself dressed. heh. Too bad that doesn't make him want to help.

One tip I have is clean your bedroom/kids bedrooms first. I feel that I have to get the living room, kitchen, and dinning room done... but I found after I did all that I was exhausted and tended to just ignore the bedrooms. Well now I make the beds, gather up laundry, get a load started, first thing in the morning. This way it's done. I've really enjoyed going to bed in a tidy room, freshly made bed, etc.

ihad been doing a big clean once a week with my doula but i forgot to call her this week. whoops. hopefully dh can take the baby and i can do a big clean today. i like to dust/vac/mop once a week and try to tidy up every day. we are in a small space like bre so it pretty much always looks cluttery.

its hard with the tiny baby. shes so exhausting that when she sleeps i want to rest! i also have a lot of laundry what with CD, and its really hard to do bc its in the basement and i'm on the third floor of a walk up. it gets tiring cuz i'll get down there with the clothes then baby starts screaming andi have to book it up like 8000 stairs. i get a workout in thats for sure. i need to be doing laundry every day, if i skip a day it feels overwhelming.

I do clean regularly and have a basic schedule set, plus I plan to start doing the JM cleaning calendar again to get more deep cleaning in. My house stays pretty clean because of this but I have a 3 year old and a husband who doesn't know how to pick up after himself at all so I am always having to do something.

How long does your house stay clean before you have to start over? Not long!

Honestly a lot of things don't get done till they bug me and then the "big cleans" happen before company comes, haha. I do try to stay on top of the dishes in the kitchen because otherwise that bothers me. I don't even pick up toys every day because I know they are just going to get scattered everywhere the next morning. I am decent about cleaning toilets, vacuuming, etc. But things like dusting or cleaning baseboards or stuff like that tends to never get done.

I did have a cleaning service come before Matthew's bday party and they didn't mop my kitchen floor. I want to hire someone to clean before baby gets here and then maybe once a month or so for the first few months after baby arrives since I know life will be crazy. Most of the places want to come once a week or once every two weeks, but it seems like a lot of $ and I can keep the place clean for a week or two...

I try to lol!!! I do washing everyday ... I put a load on every morning while the kids are eating breakfast .. that seems to have become a routine. I wash dishes after every meal as we only have a small amount of workspace next to the sink .. so if I left it all til the end of the day it would be very cluttered lol.
I am forver picking up toys from the lounge .. although our dining table has become a dumping ground for Ryans junk as he just dumps it there out of Chloes reach, paper, cars , crayons and christ knows what else! Hubby tends to tidy it every now and then but it just gets worse because Ryan adds more!!

Sweeping I do every day downstairs ... messy kids lol. Hoovering I tend to do once a week upstairs as we only have carpet up there.

Bathroom is cleaned probally twice a week sometime less.

Bedrooms are done when they bother me .. kids room isn't to bad as its toys that get everywhere and there just isn't the space in there for both there toys .. the kids room is quite small and they have too much toys between them!!!!
