How was your Mother's Day? Do anything special or get anything?

My mom's family (all of her brothers and sisters and their families) go out for a mothers' day brunch every year so we joined them. It was nice.

Ours was eventful to say the least. Charlotte started walking unassisted! I told dh not to spend any money on me, so he did something very sweet instead. I have been wanting to put Charlotte in a swing since she could sit up, but dh wasn't comfortable with it. Well on Sunday he surprised me with a trip to the neighborhood park and she got to get in a swing! She loved it! There were lots of smiles and giggles, so it was a perfect mothers day gift. And then Charlotte rounded it out with her final gift -- a head cold. second time she we have passed it back and forth in the last two weeks.

Krista, what a sweet mother's day and she started walking!

I had a massage on Saturday. On Sunday we cooked out with my mom. Then my mom and I went shopping. Oliver stayed home with Damon. I got a lot of "me" time on Sat & Sun while Damon stayed home with Oliver. It was needed!

Awwww Krista! How sweet of her to walk unassisted on mother's day and DH gave you a sweet gift too.

Caroline, I'm glad you had a good day. It sounded like a great get together.

Resi, it's great you got some "me" time. It's so great to get that sometimes.

I had a good day as well. I went to church with my mom and siblings. One of my sisters cooked for us all (well, another sister also made a dish and salad) but I had lunch plans with DH and my ILs as well. So I spent the first part with my family and the second part with my DH, ILs and a few family friends. Amara learnt to use my camera that day and she took some really decent photos. She even snapped DH and I which was great.
