Hi girls! So I have my first real appointment today. Exam and ultrasound. And the huge blood draw. I'm a little nervous...and by a little I mean a lot...because I'll be alone. Not like I've never done a doctor's appointment alone before but never an ultrasound or a blood draw alone. So...good thoughts my way if you can spare some!

Update: So the appointment went well. I actually love, love, loved my doctor...unfortunately she's transferring soon so I won't have her the whole time. Sad face. I mentioned wanting to do a VBAC and she was like "Fantastic! We do a lot of VBACs here, that's definitely an option for you." So that was really nice to know that I'm not going to catch any heat for it. Then we got cozy and did the friendly business. Which basically went like this:

Doctor: Arent you glad I bought you dinner first?
Me: I'm just glad you decided to spring for something fancy like Olive Garden. If you had taken me to IHOP this would be completely unacceptable.
Doctor: We'll discuss dessert later.

Shockingly the least awkward conversation I've ever had during a vaginal exam lol

And then we got to the fun part! ("The actual fun part or are you flirting with me?" .."No, no, the real fun part"... "Oh good") I had never had an internal ultrasound before, so that was interesting. She had the screen facing away from me for the first like 30 seconds and she wasn't saying anything, and the nurse wasn't saying anything...and I was like someone tell me something because you're makin me nervous! So she finally moved the screen and baby looks perfect! There is (thank God) only one of them and everything was great. I forgot to ask what the heartrate was but the baby was bouncing and waving and got the hiccups about halfway through. So my official due date is November 28th! And I have another ultrasound on June 20th, but we're hoping to schedule a 3D before then so Nics able to come along for one.

Awwwwww!! I'm glad it went well! (and as a side note you are flaring up my baby fever... Seems like I tell everyone that these days! )

It sounds like the doctor was awesome!! Too bad you don't get to keep her. A little humor goes a long way.
