How did you tell your dh you are pregnant and how did they react? Have you told anyone else?

After 4 positive tests. 2 Sunday night and 1 Monday morning I decided that it was safe to say I'm pregnant! That didn't stop me from taking another test before I jumped in the shower Monday afternoon (late start!). After getting dressed I looked at my 4th positive test and decided to show Aaron. So I put the test down in front of him and......
He asked me "Whats this"
Me:"Its a test...."
Him: "You're pregnant?"
Me: "Yep"
Him: "That was easy."

That was easy. Classic guy response! Didn't you say you don't plan on telling anyone else for a while? Like 20 weeks? Are you waiting on the gender u/s?

We are hoping to be able to hold off on telling our family and friends until around 20 weeks. Dh and I have a bet on who caves first!! I think he will because I have a support group and he doesn't (I also don't think I'm cheating, though he probably does!) He also caved first when we were pregnant with Madi, we announced at 10 weeks with her.
There is actually no reason for 20 weeks. We'll probably have our ultrasound between 16-18 weeks.

I certainly couldn't hold out. I couldn't even hold out until 12 weeks last time. To my surprise my dh, the most unexcitable person I know, couldn't even hold out for twenty minutes! I managed to go for something like eight weeks I think.

8 weeks isn't bad! I'm going to Boise, ID in 4 weeks and I'm really hoping that I can hold it in. Madi and I are going for a long weekend to visit one of my close friends. She just told me she's pregnant, she was kinda freaking out because they were trying to prevent. She is about 8 weeks now and she told me last week. You need to be pregnant now so we can be miserable together It will be really hard not saying anything then!

I'm not sure how you'll make it to 20 weeks without someone noticing unless you're related to Angela (soimarriedanerd).
Ditto Krista on the typical guy response.

No kidding Mari! I wish Angela would come around, I'm curious if her baby number two belly is as tiny as her baby number one belly was....

I know its crazy. But since I've had Madi I wear looser clothes. So I'm hoping that any future baby bump remains small enough to be hidden by them. If this were my first then it would be easy, but I guess things stretch faster with your next! We'll see what happens. I might just act all offended if anyone asks

Here's how I told DH:
I had been testing like a crazy person for two days and getting very faint lines. I couldn't believe that I had gotten pregnant so quickly and was convinced that it had to be some sort of fluke. I had showed the tests to DH and he agreed that there were faint lines, but he didn't think they were positive (he also knows nothing about pregnancy tests...). I finally took two digis and they both came back positive. Kinda hard denying that!! DH's birthday was on the 8th (coincidentally the day we conceived ) and I had a birthday card that I forgot to give him. I wrote a sweet note in it and put the tests in the envelope with the card. He had worked night shift the day before so he was asleep but I couldn't wait. I woke him up and gave it to him anyway. At first he just said "oh, wow.." and then rolled over and fell back asleep. He got up a few minutes later and goes "are these real?" lol. Then he acted excited for a minute and went back to bed

I hope they don't stretch farther! Good lord my belly got huge last time. If it gets any bigger it might just split down the middle. I keep on meaning to start doing exercises to strengthen my stomach muscles with the hope that it won't happen again... But I haven't followed through. It will probably be a mad rush of sit-ups once I get pregnant kind of thing.

Hahahaha! Thats funny! If my stomache can hold out (or in this case in!) even half as long as it started really showing last time then I think I'll be ok. I didn't start to really show until about 24-25 weeks...but then everyone was like, holy cow you grew!! I was pretty big at the end. I'll show you a pic. This was taken in the hospital the night before I had Madi.

I was going to post a full term pic but apparently I got lazy towards the end of my pregnancy and stopped uploading them at 34 weeks! So 34 weeks is the best I can do right now. This was a little over a month before I delivered, so I still had a lot of growing to do.... It hurts just looking at it.
Doesn't it look like I'm about to split??! In my defense Charlotte was a relatively big baby, especially for my small frame. I'm tall for a woman but pretty thin.

Thats a cute belly! It really doesn't look like it could grow more! I couldn't bring myself to take a bare belly pick.....it wasn't (and still isn't) pleasant looking!

Oh I did grow some more. A lot more. Doesn't baby gain like a pound every week or two in the last few weeks? Yikes. By the end I had this ginormous belly that was so low it hung like a huge third boob.
And to think we want to do this all over again!
