How did/will you decide on baby names with your SO?

Did/will you use a book of names? Use websites?

Were/are there any names you LOVE but SO didn't?

Any out of the ordinary names you concider(ed)?

Is fight to the death an option? I think that's what it's going to come down to. That or baby F will just never have a name We are both very choosy about names but our styles are way different. We have used websites, books, you name it and we still haven't found any names that we both love. What I really hate is that I've been dreaming up baby names for years and had a list of names that I loved and DH hated all of them. So now we're coming up with names that both of us are just ok with. I feel bad that neither of us are going to really love our child's name. That's what compromise is, right? No one getting to be happy?

The other thing that really irritates me about our naming process is that DH is very bad at actually thinking up of names on his own. He wants me to make lists of names for him and then he poo poos all over them. If everything I come up with is so horrible why doesn't HE offer any suggestions? Grrr.... It will be interesting to see what name this kid eventually ends up with....
