Through the darn roof! Holy crap. I've been looking at cloth diapers for the past 40 minutes. It probably doesn't help that I'm going to start sewing cloth diapers either.

I like prefolds too, for newborns. I heard from my sister those are easier for younger babies. There's so many different types I'm totally overwhelmed

Ooo, what kind of stroller and car seat do you want?

I'm looking at the Britax Chaperone as seat and Graco Trekko as stroller, then getting a graco double after baby #2 gets hard to carry in a wrap/sling. I want Radians as the convertable seats. Means I buy 3 seats for 2 kids that will last from birth to growing out of the seats.

In total for 3 seats, 2 strollers and 2 boosters for Reme I'd be looking at $1500. I'd just be sure to keep the first stroller to use for baby 2 when #1 grows out of the double.

yes, I'm in over planning mode. DH has been doing a lot of laughing at me.

I figured prefolds would be easiest for the non solid food years since I plan on nursing and I don't have to scrape or use liners until they actually eat real food. I can crochet a cover in about an hour for about $1.30, so it would help me cut down on the overhead costs for a bit. I'm sure I'll buy some of the covers grow with baby, but I wont feel compelled to buy a large stack of $9-$15 diapers right away. After that I'll probably go with pocket diapers and disposable liners just to make clean up a lil bit easier for DH. But I haven't 100% made up my mind on the post newborn years. I told him to expect me to buy one of each at some point.
