So I'm ready to TTC. I have a 2.5 yr old son and have had the Mirena in ever since. I'm having the Mirena removed on Wednesday. The only thing I don't know is if it's ok to start TTC immediately or should I wait a couple cycles? Any ideas??

Sorry just saw this post. As you've noticed, we are a pretty quiet group on this board. lol. For the best TTC advice, check out the TTC board. Those ladies know their stuff!

From what I know about Mirena, it's okay to go ahead and TTC as soon as you get your post bc AF. For some women, it takes time for that to happen, but it shouldn't be a problem from what I understand. Those TTC gals probably know more than I do though. Good luck!!!

You can try right away, but it can take a while to regulate, especially if you've been on it a while. Hopefully you bounce back quickly, but keep it in the back of your head that it can take 12-18 months for the effects of the hormones to get out of your system.. CM is usually the last thing to return, hormones damage the crypts that make it. Pre-seed lubricant might be something you want to invest in. Pricey, but works fantastically!
