Born September 1 @ 6:01am
6 Pounds 8 Oz

I woke up on Sunday August 31st at around 6 am and started feeling slight contractions starting at 6:30 that were around 5-10 min apart. After about two hours they became more consistant at 5 min apart so I called L & D. They instructed me to go for a walk or take a warm shower to try and help the labor process and intensify my contractions. Soon after I went to a nearby park with my mom, younger sister and two dogs to walk around. After walking for about ten minutes I felt myself leak. I wasn't sure if I had a small leak in my bag of waters or if I had peed myself. Soon after we went home, I put on a pad, and we went to lunch. After lunch I checked the pad and it was full! I figured there was no way I peed my pants that much! Also at this time my contractions were more intense and consistantly 4 min apart so I again called L&D and they instructed me to come in to get checked out. I arrived at the hospital at 3pm, and after verifying that my water had broken, I was admitted at 4:30.
From there labor progressed well, but by midnight my body was so tired it was shaking uncontrolably so I opted for an epidural. Once the epidural kicked in, I slept for about 4 hours. An hour after waking up I was checked and to my surprise I was fully dialated and ready to push. It only took 20 min of pushing for Mason to enter the world.
He is a wonderful baby and I am so lucky and blessed to have him in my life!
