I was very emotional: scared, nervous, &
disappointed. It was absolutely freezing in there. I had the chills and couldn't stop shaking. I didn't know it but I also had a fever.
9:57pm Mountain Standard Time Emilia Gianna was born! She weighed 7 lbs 9oz and were 20.5 inches long.
She nursed as soon as we got back to the delivery room and had no problems.
Dad helped give her first bath at about 1am in the maternity recovery room with mom videoing!
After the delivery, the baby had to have IV antibiotics because her WBC count was elevated due to my fever. They still don't know why I had a fever. She hated that IV. I got thrush because of the IV antibiotics I was given. They didn't detect that until I came home. I'm feeling better but still a week post have pain and really need a couple more weeks of recovery.
DH stayed that night and then went to get the kids the next day. He brought them up that evening. They were SO excited. They just adore their baby sister.
