I was planning on our induction for November 5 since I was due November 3. On November 3 at 3:30 in the afternoon I started feeling crampy and having occasional contractions. I decided to wait until they were closer together or my water broke before going to the hospital. Well at 2:00 am on November 4 I decided to head to the hospital, so I wake up my husband and off we go. We arrived at the hospital at 2:30 am and I was at a 2. She had not dropped or really effaced - so I got to walk and use the birthing ball. After an hour she checked me and I was at a 3 and effacing slowly. The nurse asked if I wanted to go home? I freaked out and starting crying to my hubby that there was no way I was going home. So I got to stay one more hour to see if I was progressing. Good thing I didn't go home. An hour later I was effaced, she had dropped, and I was at a 5!! My water broke and I got my epidural around 7 am. I started pushing at 2 pm and Skyla was born at 2:28 pm on Election Day!! She weighed 7 lbs. 12.5 ozs. and was 21 inches long.
The labor was wonderful and the hospital was great : ) I am just so in love with my beautiful baby girl. Her big sister just adores her and wants to hold her all the time. Daddy is doing great with her and changes all the diapers when he is home!!
