This will not be as long as most since she was a scheduled c-section.

We went to the hospital on Tues Jan 22nd at 6:00am. The nurses called me back right away to get me ready. I changed my clothes, got in bed and waited for the nurse to come do her thing. She came in and got my vitals, started my IV and gave me the lovely drink of death. JK Then the anesthesialogist (sp?) came in and gave me the rundown. After I was settled me family came in. I got to see my parents and my kids before they wheeled me back to the OR. It was around 7:30 when they took me back and they sent DH to get dressed in his scrubs. They got me on the table and got my spinal started. I went numb almost immediately. Then they got the drape up and called for my DH. He came in just in time. I said he had never got brought in so early with any of the others, so he got to see the entire surgery. He took pics the whole time and the nurse was so nice about it. She let him walk around and get good shots as long as he didn't touch the blue drape. The at 8:00am on the nose Sadie entered this world. She was crying and that was all it took for me to start bawling. She sounded a little gurgly but soon cleared up and they gave her and apgar of 9 and 9. Which is the highest apgars any of my children have had. Then they brought her to me and let me hold her for a long time. It was amazing. Then they took her to the nursery with my DH in tow and bathed her while I went to recovery. I think this was the best experrience so far and it kind-of makes me sad that it will be my last. Well there you have it. Short and sweet but oh so worth it!!!!
