When they are throwing a trantum and you're trying to ignore them, do they follow you and pull on your leg, arm, etc? Do you still just ignore them?

I try to ignore Reid when he is throwing a fit, but he will follow me around and yank on me. If I am still ignorning him he will grab me HARD and pinch. It hurts! I remove his hand and tell him "No. Not nice." which just results in more of the same. I don't know what to do!

I try my best to ignore her, but it's so funny half the time I find myself laughing. Awful I know, but it's just SO cute when they throw stuff (I'm sure this wont last).

If Oliver is cranky at my legs holding on to me I usually pick him up if I can. He almost always tries to bite (not in a tantrum mean way) when he is clinging on to me like that.

Max is a throw himself on the floor kind of tantrum.
do you have a pack n play you could put him in until the tantrum is over so he can't follow you?

YES!!! Jack is constantly pulling my pants down if I am wearing comfy pants around the house! Chris finds it hilarious of course. Seriously though, yes he does this and it is really tough. If he is legitimately tired or upset I will usually pick him up and give him hugs and kisses because I want him to know I am there for him. However, if he is just being "bratty" or I need some space I will try to walk away. The problem is, he really latches on and if I move he will either move with me or fall down. And like you said Bre, that just causes more of the same. This is definitely a hard age!

I'm the same way, I almost always laugh and I feel SO bad about it! We were out in public the other day and she started with a tantrum in my arms (arching her back, screaming, etc), I started laughing! I hate that I laugh, because I'm pretty sure it just makes it worse for her, but I can't help it!

When we're at home, I walk away from her....she does follow me, but will usually just fall down at my feet continuously.

I just jump to give her whatever she wants! Seriously, I have to really stop myself from doing that sometimes, it's terrible! But mostly I'll just say no, wait, and then try to distract. Taking her outside almost always works, she loves it outside.

I would probably just pick them up. It depends on the situation.

Anybodys baby grab hold of their face/neck and pinch or scratch as hard as they can? Like as in they won't walk the direction you need them to or say you pick them up to put them in the carseat and say goodbye to gma & gpa...yah she will start the arching/screaming and wildy grab for my face/neck and squeeze the **** out of whatever she gets a fistful of

For regular tantrums she will usually lay on her back and kick the floor hard with one leg and I walk away and ignore her.

I think I can honestly say that Leah hasnt thrown a tantrum yet. Maybe she is building it up so the first one will end up with me hiding behind the couch. LOL
