Nope. I didn't "see" mine either since it was a c section. I'm hoping they will let me watch on Friday, or at least take pictures that I can look at later.

Nope and I don't think I ever will either. I also didn't "see" mine cause it was a c-section. My hubby saw parts and I saw little glimpses in the metal of the light above me...ew.

I was in the room when my sister was giving birth but she wasn't comfortable with anyone except her SO "seeing" the actual birth so I stayed above her head and to the side. It was a very exciting experience, though.. especially since her labor was so simple. She had an epidural and it was not painful at all for her..

No. I would love to be able to if I was close to the person.

Bre, any chance your sister would want you in the room as her second coach?

No. My sister offered to let me be in the room with her when she had her son but I said no. I just wasn't comfortable with it. This was over 4 years ago so I was only 22.

I saw my sister give birth. I was so honored that she asked me to be there.

yes! My best friend in the whole world asked me to be her coach. We have been best friends for 24 years..and I am only 27 so that tell you how close we are lol. Her Son is my God son. It was amazing and so exciting..great experience.
I got to see the WHOLE thing. I was staying at her house for like 3 weeks leading up to the birth and the first week they were home so I was there for the whole labor and delivery and all that. I got to help hold her leg so she can push and coach her, and see him crowning and she even gave me the honor of cutting the cord. Amazing.
The father of the baby (or the sperm donor as we call him now) wasnt there for any of it.

She hasn't said anything about it, but I did say to her off handedly that I am tempted to jump on a plane as soon as she goes into labor. hehe. Even if she did want me there, it would be hard because she is 2 states away. Who knows if I could get there in time I don't think I have any other friends who would let me be there...maybe my younger sister, but she is only 19 and no where near ready for kids...maybe someday!

During my ob clinical I was able to see both a c-section and natural birth. The c-section was amazing. I'd love to work in the OR someday. For the vaginal delivery, the RN had me hold the woman's leg since her significant other wouldn't go anywhere near where all the action was happening. He stayed by the woman's head the whole time. They both were amazing experiences I'll never forget.

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

I positively only wanted my DH with me, so there is a part of me that believes that everyone should feel the same way and not invite me. BUT if anyone really meant it and wanted me there, I would love to see it, I really would.
