Hi, everybody, I'm new to this board and wanted to introduce myself! I used to be quite active on JustMommies, over in the TTC with PCOS board, where I was a co-host for a while. I haven't been on JM in several months, but I missed it and had to come back!

My name's Karen, and DH Chris and I have been TTC since we got married in July 2005. We reached the point last September where we decided that we wanted to try IVF, and have been trying since then to figure out how to make it work financially. My beautiful blessing of a cousin-in-law called me a few weeks ago to tell me she (also a cyster) was going to try IVF through a study at a local clinic, and because it was through a study it was actually affordable. I contacted the clinic and am now all set to do an IVF cycle myself!

Since I've been on bcp since September, they wanted me to be off them for 30 days so they could get some bloodwork with just MY hormones and not Yaz's hormones , and by my count that 30 day period ends on May 21. So I'm looking at starting my very first IVF cycle in late May or early June, and I am SO EXCITED.

I look forward to getting to know you ladies! Tell me about yourselves! Are you IVF newbies or veterans? I saw one of you has TRIPLETS! What an incredible blessing, and how much work that must be!

I'm an IVF veteran, sort of, we did a fresh cycle last fall which was ummm . . . sort of successful and our planning our first FET this June. So right now I'm on day 3 of Yaz and then I get to start the lupron after yaz is done, which should also be right around May 21st!

Hi Karen,
My name is Kim. I am a newbie to the site and to IVF. I noticed your post and was wondering if you might be participating in a clinical study that I am getting ready to start. We are participating in a study sponsered by Duramed Research. It is a randomized study to compare progesterone DR-2011 (vaginal ring) to a Progesterone Vaginal Gel for Luteal Phase. Just curious....
