Hi
I am not sure when my ER is going to be, either really late October or early November. I am awaiting the calendar from our doc. My thought is it is going to be November though.
Good Luck to you :-)

i am always more regulated when i am on BCP!! so hopefully we get a good thing with our IVF expierence!!
Oh goodness i dont know if i had explained to you our situation but i guess i should IVF BUDDY!!!
My Dh and i have been TTC for over 20 months now with no sucess.. i had a laproscopy and ovarian drilling done and my body did not respond to the drilling.. so doctor decided i should she a specialist for IVF.. well he is in Indiana and i am in arkansas so i am considered long distance IVF LOL.. For the past few weeks i have had a hard time finding a clinic that would monitor me and TODAY I FOUND ONE!!! my regular doctor was suppose to monitor me.. but a flood of pregnant women are now seeing him and he says he can benefit them more than me... so i was completely down and out about it.... BUT I HAVE FOUND ONE.!!! i have my official consult with the DR on wed.. and i get all the "official" paperwork and stuff done on Friday with my IVF doctor!!! I am waiitng for AF to start so i can start BCP and then start the lupron!!! here is to a great fall that brings us a summer baby!!

Yay on finding a doc!!!
Me and DF have never used protection in the 2+ years we were together, so we knew we were dealing with some kinda issue and we knew that he had somewhat low counts from when he made a deposit before going over seas in 2003. This past January i sent him to a urologist and this June he finally got all his tests. DF is suffering from the really long A word that means low count, low motility and low morphology. The doc is very concerned that his sperm will be 0 if we wait till we get married -- so here we are! Lucky for me, i am in tip top reproductive health -- so much that the doc wont put 2 eggs back into me lol. He is very certain we will only need to do IVF once. *crosses fingers*
As much as a November ER and ET would be better wedding wise, I like the idea of October more. Being due in Early July appeals to me more then Early August. This way when DF and I go back to school, baby will be old enough to be in daycare.
I have my IVF class Thursday morning.
Thankfully Sept 1 is my last BCP day. I went back on them cause i figured if i am doing IVF, i might as well just skip all the rest of my painful periods. Well i am having horride side effects as usual and the doc said i dont need to be on them so off I come soon! 13 more days on them!

yay on going off the BCP!!! We are still waiting for AF to be here!!! i am getting impatient but i assume it be better to waiting AF rather than be CD 6 or something.. HAHA!!!
MY DH and i have been having unprotected relations since dec 06 and NOTHING has happened!! In our case it is me and not him as this point.. we will have a s/e to see for sure if it is just me...!!
Here I guess is where the waiting game begins! I hope we get to have an ER and ET around the same time!! if not i will be going through the process and you can ask me whatever you want!!

If all goes to plan..... the cycle we're gonna start all this with will be my Estimated October 1st ish Cycle. I will have AF somewhere Oct 1-3rd (I hope) -- so im not sure whats gonna happen from there. Hopefully i will learn that Thursday Morning or atleast soon! The doctor said he had a protocal made up for us but it "wouldnt make any sense to me now" and im thinking to myself -- "Sure it will! I did the research!" lol.
My CD3 Blood work is gonna be somewhere around Sept 5th-8th and then once AF takes a hike, i have to get an SHG. Then, its just a matter of waiting for AF so we can start. I have to delay AF with my BCP's cause i will be out of town at the end of this month when i should normally have AF. Can't have that! Plus i have my annual on Sept 2nd, so, delaying AF was recommended to me all around.
I really hope on Thursday I dont have to do any practice injections. I am on a hunt to try and locate the numbing spray dermotologist offices use. I hate needles with a passion!
I am sooo worried about hyperstimulating.... I have my "surprise" bridal shower on Nov 23rd.... i dont wanna be hung up for it!

My retrieval/transfer should be the end of September/beginning of October as well!!! Yay for IVF buddies!!! This board hasn't had a storm of IVF s in a while!! Maybe that means it's our turn!!!
I haven't received my calendar and stuff yet....I will be getting that at my IVF consult (which will be sometime soon after I start AF)
I'm looking forward to this process and I hope it leads to BFPs for all of us!!!
BTW, how many embies are you all planning to transfer?? We're doing 2, possibly 3 depending on the grade....

BRANDI:
I was wondering when you would post in here!!!! IT IS OUR TIME FOR BFP!!!! I am so excited!!
AS FAS AS how many... I guess it depends on the grade.. and how many embies the DR allows us to use.. I want to put in enough because i want to be pregnant!! haha I am just scared of loads of multiples.. MORE THAN 3 scares me!!!
Samantha: THE SPRAY IS GOING TO BE AMAZING!!
SO AN UPDATE:
I went to the doctor's clinic that is going to be doing our monitoring and they were great!!!! For our ultrasound and bloodwork they are going to charge us 150.00!!! We are private pay and the clinic i am going to for just U/S alone is close to 300.00!! SO WE ARE HAPPY!!
They were prepared to do bloodwork today.. even though i dont need it until CD3.. AF has still failed to show up.. haha she is coming.. i can fill it!! ANYWAYS and they are prepared to do U/s and bloodwork everyday for 2 weeks if i need it!! I only really need at least 4 ultrasound in month 2 of this IVF protocol!!! I am excited!!! ON TOP OF THE WORLD TODAY!!! I just hope the consult with our IVF doctor on Friday is just as great!!!

Brandi: Yay more people to do IVF with! I still think I am looking at a Halloween area transfer.
A BFP storm would be awesome!!!!
We are transfering 1 embie because i am in excellent reproductive health (Wish someone had answers to why my AF's every month feel like someone is ripping out my insides...). Transfering 2 embies would give us a 70-80% chance of twins and the doc said he'd argue with me on transfering 2. My clinic has the lowest rate of multiple pregnancies in the country and since 2003 had 0 triplet births. (23% Twin birth rate) 1 baby is all we need right now -- we both will be finishing up our degrees (He a PhD and me my Masters) so 1 is all we can a) afford and b.) handle
Although -- i am still a little concerned about transfering only 1..... but i guess we'll just have to choose the best of the best! If we don't have great embies, i think then i will argue to transfer 2. But ONLY if they aren't so great.
Arkansasgirl i am so glad that your u/s is gonna be cheap! DF and I managed to qualify for an Infertility grant from the New York State Department of Health. Our IVF is estimated to cost 15,000 dollars and we only have to pay $2,750.00 its due soon though and we are trying to scrape that money together as fast as possible.
I have IVF "class" tomorrow morning at 10:30 where i get to learn about the drugs and injections and the whole nine yards. I feel like i am pretty well educated based on what ive read online so hopefully i wont be overwhelmed. I know DF will be because he doesnt care to know about the medicine protocal (Hes still upset that he has to "put me through this".) Hes a real trooper though!
You ladies getting in any last minute projects before you become pregnant? Making any changes around the house?
I painted our bathroom today. (Already did the bedroom and living room/hallway... we live in an aparment and the white walls are so boring!) Can't paint once i am preggers! I plan on doing the kitchen in early October. I've also gotten rid of clutter, junk and i have made room for stuff. I've organized all the closets, etc etc. I know once i get pregnant i am not gonna wanna do any of that stuff for a long while. I also started using GREEN WORKS to clean the house. I cant get DF to dust or mop even if he was living in filth. Greenworks are all natural cleaners and products that are safe for pregnant ladies :-) (and babies and pets!)

We are praying for twins on the first shot because 1) I have already had twins once 2) We want two kids & 3) We can't afford to do IVF twice....
It's awesome that you girls are paying a discounted price for IVF DH and I are stressing about the money part of it, but WE KNOW it will be worth it in the end. DH has already said that he would get a second job if needed (um, he never shows that much motivation for anything!) I'm sure we will be fine financially, we've always lived below our means, so that we could have money saved up. It's still nerve wracking though
As for projects around the house, last summer when I was pregnant, DH and I decided we needed to go ahead and remodel our home BEFORE the baby came!!! So my house was a construction zone for my entire first trimester-NOT FUN! If we had only known that we didn't need to be in such a rush
Anyway, GOOD LUCK to you both and let's make sure to keep each other updated on our progress!!! AF should be here for me next week, so I will start BCP on CD2!!!!

Got my calendar! I am starting in October, so i'll stay here for now :-)
Est. Oct 2nd - AF arrives for the last time (hopefully for a LONG time), begin baby asprin.
Oct 22 (or whenever day 21 is) - Start Lupron and take until Nov 9th.
Oct 31 - Start stims. Blood work and u/s to confirm the start of stims. Stims are Ovidrel and Luvaris.
Around Nov 2nd - "Lupron" bleeding starts. Its very very light breakthrough bleeding.
Nov 4th - Possible Cetrotide (1 time shot in case I break through {Show signs of ovulation} on the Lupron. Will only have to take if my body doesn't shut down)
Nov 9th - Trigger!
Nov 10th - Bloodwork and instructions for retrieval
Nov 11th - Retrieval very early (7am) so that the following night, I can attend school. (Will be taking the day of and after off from work though)
Nov 14th - Transfer day 3!
OR
Nov 16th - Transfer day 5!
--ER until ET -- I have to take Progesterone in Oil, IM, and then after transfer, I managed to get myself switched to Endometrium which is a progesterone vaginal suppository. She gave me free Endometrium!!! Its a REALLY expensive drug! Apparently, this clinic requests that women who have unused and opened medicine donate it back to the center to help out other women who cant afford the drug. We just got an 850 dollar drug FOR FREE. Thank you to the person who donated this!
Nov 17th - If transfer on day 3, 3 day post transfer blood work is done this day.
Nov 21 - If transfer is done on day 5, 6 day post transfer bloodwork & start home pregnancy tests (5dp5dt or 8dp3dt)
Nov 25th - Beta #1
Nov 27th - Beta #2 - If positive, u/s in early December (around 5 weeks to check for signs of baby, and send over to Midwife for further care & support.
August 4th, 2009 - Baby Schmidt is born :-)
I am currently waiting for AF so i can do CD3 bloodwork, have to get my water sono and an u/s of my boobies to check and make sure theres nothing hiding in there that should be checked out (There wont be). I have my annual on Sept 2nd, so i have to get my pap and they need to check of STD's (dont have any obviously!)
My thyroid is a little hyperactive apparently -- so they want to test it out again next month and see if its still the same. Its not the first time i've been told i could have a thyroid issue.
So excited!!!!!

BRANDI: Goodness the price of IVF is enough to scare me to death!! We found a wonderful pharmacy that is cheaper than Freedomdrug.com!!! So if you want that link i can get it for you!! They ship to your house and it is very affordable!!
SAMANTHA: YAY for having an official plan!!! We will be having our phone consult with our IVF doctor tomorrow at 1pm our time!!! I am so excited...
Now i am just waiting for AF still!!! I am so scared that if i dont have my period he will cancel my cycle...
Samantha do you think this is possible?!!!

Oh and I got the cold spray already! And it works like a charm! I poked myself with a sewing needle and didnt feel a thing!
I am so happy we have a plan and a list of drugs and stuff. Woohoo! Not sure whats gonna happen with my thyroid, hopefully its the pill messing with it. Although its really not any news to me that there could be an issue. I figured that out when i was eating crap fast food everyday and never gained a pound lol.
I think you'll get your AF. When did she come last? You should ask him about taking Provera to bring on AF if she is stalling. Then again, you did have ovarian drilling 3 weeks ago so your body might still be a tad outta whack.
Brandi just think, in ~10 months when your holding 2 little ones..... the IVF price is SO worth it.

Arkansas girl, I'm sure you'll start AF I can't imagine they'd cancel your cycle, worse case scenario is that they'd make you take Provera if AF DOESN'T show on her own
Samantha! Yay for getting your calendar and having a plan!! I can't wait to get my calendar! I'm feeling so left out! BOOOOOOOO
Oh yeah, and I so agree with you about the money being well spent if I end up with a baby (or two)
Good luck ladies! I'm so looking forward to having some friends to go through this with!!!
