I was wondering if anyone is doing IVF in December? I know it's far off but I missed the October cycle and my doc isn't doing it in Nov. So, December it is. I'm so excited.

I'm not sure what I'm going to be on yet. I'm waiting for AF to show this week and then I get all my pre-cycle testing done.

We are starting our first IVF in late nov/early dec! We've been TTC for 1yr+ for our first child with no luck. Turns out that my previous abdominal surgeries caused scar tissue and so the egg can't make it's way into the tubes after ovulation. I have no idea what to expect with all of the injections, ect. I'm just so ready for the process to begin!

YAY!!!!

I have my scripts in hand already for bloodwork and to start BCP on CD4 which HOPEFULLY should be about Halloween day

I have a HSG scheduled for Monday morning at 8am, I am really NERVOUS!!! But I hope everything is OK so that way there are no snags (worried about scar tissue from when they removed a dermoid cyst from my left ovary) with starting the IVF.

I did have it done yesterday. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting except for the CRAMPS. OMG I thought I was going to die!!!!! But Dr. said everything looked GREAT and he wanted the name and # to the IVF clinic and DR we are going through and he would see what he could help out with!!!! I told him that the other Dr. was going to see if he could do the monitoring and he said SURE, anythig he could do

SO I am sooooooooooooooo excited!!!! 13 more days to go till we start!!!!!! I don't think the next 2 weeks can go by fast enough for us!!!!

Where is everyone at in their process right now?????

I just went the RE today and got my calendar. Woo hoo! I'm so ready to start. I'm on BCP right now and will be on that until Nov. 16th. Then I start the protocol. The estimated ER is 12/5 and the ET is approx. 12/8. Bring on the babies!

Marie, good luck, we were thinking about holding off for a bit on ours because we have 2 August kiddos and didn't want another one possible in August but right now I will take WHATEVER I can get, and DH keeps telling me to quit being so picky

Marykaymom: YAY I can't even imagine how excited you are right now!!!! Our Dr told us usually about 6weeks after we start BCP is when we are looking at retrieval/transfer so somewhere around 12-11. So, we should be really close, we can be cycle buddies

AF SHOULD be here 10-27 and was told to get CD3 bw and then start BCP on CD4, Halloween day. We get our calendar once he gets our BW results back. I am soooooooooo excited about it all!!!

HI ladies!

I want to join in.. we aren't doing IVF until after the holidays.. we are building a house that should be done in another month or so and wanted to give ourselves time to move in so I have no stress.. but we hope to start the process in January or end of December (at least BCP)... I don't know much yet but we have to go to a 2 hr class for IVF patients in a couple of weeks, so I guess we'll learn more at that point.

I will stalk all of you who start earlier, b/c I"m trying to learn everything I can about it!!
Good luck to you all!!

Congrats on the house!!!!!

I so wish they had an IVF class here, but there's really no "Infertility" treatment/choices here, if we had been doing our IVF here in state we would of been traveling to Denver 2hrs away

but I am interested in what your class consists of!!

Hi All~
Just wanted to hop on and say congrats on your upcoming IVF process. I post on forum "TTC by IVF" , topic title "IVF in August". We did our first cycle of IVF in August. I am estatic to announce that I am 11 weeks 2 days pregnant-with TWINS!!!!! It DOES work!!!! Just wanted to say hello to you all and tell youthat I am very excited to read your stories. These are our first babies after TTC for 5 years and diagnosed with "Unexplained Infertility".

I know it must seem like it will take forever for December to roll around. Hang in there. I am so glad to have found this support group I did on JM. It helped so much to talk to people who are actually going through the process. Friends and family are invaluable but having someone understand what you are going through is sooooooo helpful, isn't it?

On a side note. My husband and I had to pay for the meds on our own, no insurance coverage. Toward the end of the protocol, my expected date of retrieval and transfer were a bit "iffy" and we had to buy addtional gonal-f because we were nearing the weekend and didn't want to get stuck without being able to get what I needed. Ended up not needing it. So, we now have some extra fertility drugs. We are looking to offer the meds at cost to anyone who may be interested. We merely would like to get our money back. We did recieve a 30% discount for paying cash so we are looking to offer the meds to someone at the cost we were provided at 30% below the "norm". If you, like us, hav to pay for the meds without ins, and are on a protocol that involves the following meds, and are interested, let me know. All meds are in original packages and HAVE NOT been opened/are sealed. I have the cool packs that were included in the package that was sent to me. (Most people recieve their meds via mail and are in refrigerated packing materials). This is what I have.
One 450IU Gonal-F Pen $328.50
Three 75IU Vials Luveris $22.41 each
One 1mg 0.2ml Lupron $14.21

Anyways, it's great reading your stories and I can't wait to read updates. I am sending well wishes your way!!!!!!!!!!

This same thing apparently happened to me, as a result of my D&C from my m/c. We are going to our infertility class on Tuesday. I am hoping I will know a lot more at that point. We are hoping to start the process right after Christmas.

Good luck to everyone!!

Hey, Chicas!!!! Just checking in!!! Where is everyone at????

Well, AF is supposed to be here tomorrow. I am already feeling really emotional and crampy, so hopefully that is all a good sign

DH and I went into my work on Friday to have our blood drawn for our HIV/Hepatitis, so the Dr. doing out IVF should of gotten that yesterday (if they were in the office) and now just waiting on AF so I can go get my LH/estradoil done, hopefully that will be on Wednesday.

I am soooo excited that the ball is getting ready to start rolling
