Natalie ~ Im sorry that you didnt get the best news, but its true what Barbie said only one is what you need. I hope that the one eggie makes it....
Barbie ~ 6 eggies! thats great I hope that they all fert. and you get a good report. Good Luck and keep us posted when you find out neighbor! I also hope you start feeling better today...
Well guess what... We have TWO jellybeans!! The nurse's message this morning said that the lab was able to inject 3 eggs and two of them fertilized as of this morning!! I started tearing up when I listened to the message. The nurse said "I know we were hoping for more, but we have those two good eggs, the lab was very pleased this morning." We still plan to transfer only one, but this means we can select the best one and we could have one frozen for next time! Transfer is sunday morning. I am so, so thankful.
Natalie, I'm glad too see you got one more eggie fertilized. Yay!! As for me out of the six eggies retreved 3 fertilized. I was so upset when I got the news. I was just hoping to have some left over to freeze. We had originally decided to put back 2 and mentally I had told myself that if I was left with 3 embies I would opt to put back all 3 instead of freezing just one. I have an appointment for Sunday and my doctor will discuss with us weather to transfer Sunday or wait 2 more days. We'll see what happens.
Barbie, I'm sorry, I know that must be disappointing. There are so many factors in deciding how many to put back, I hope your doctor can give you some insight.
We're only putting one back (though my hubby has been trying to convince me to do two - he wants twins. I don't.). So we'll probably freeze our second one, if it makes it that far! Yippee!! I've never had a frosty before.
Barbie,I know you were hoping for more but ot only takes one.I got everything crossed for you..Praying for your little embies..
Natalie,I hope that the one little embie does the trick. If I were you I would go with Dh and have a higher chance of pregnacy and put back two.Isnt it only a 30% of twins...Praying for you and your little embies.
Well the new beta today was 263!!!!RE said to come back in a week and then whatever the beta is then we would have a u/s in 5 days.I am very happy!!!

I go in tommorrow for a possible 3 day transfer. The embryologist explained to me that when we don't have alot of embies to work with they usually do a 3 day transfer instead of running the risk of a 5 day. I was really hoping for a 5 day transfer because I have read that with a 5 day transfer your odds are higher. Leslie, did you have a 3 day transfer? I'm so scared that this ivf cycle is not going to work.
I just wanted to let you know, i have a never used 10ML vial of Progesterone in Ethyl Oleate if any of you ladies would like -- its $40.00 that includes shipping :-) Maybe that'll save someone money I hope! PM me if you want it

Leslie - That's great!! And as for the twins/success issue.... I actually have a higher chance of success doing two consecutive single transfers than putting both in at once, so hopefully it'll work out this time or the FET!!
Barbie - I got pregnant off a 3 day transfer last time. I really really didn't think it was going to work, but to my surprize... it did! I really hope your transfer goes well and you get some fantastic news about your embryos. Can't wait!
My transfer is tomorrow morning as well... we're transferring one... I hope it's a great one!!
I just can't wait to see our BFPs in a couple weeks!
Barbie,I did have a 3 day transfer. My RE does not do 5 day transfers. He has one of the highest numbers in Houston where I live.Dont worry 3 day is fine..I just know you are going to get that bfp very soon. How many are you transfering?
Natalie,I pray that one embie does the trick.I understand what you mean.Goodluck to you girly...Are you having a 3dt too?
Quick update from my phone... Transfer went well. The embryo we transfered was a 7 cell and was compacting to go to blast (just like devin's embryo), so that's great! The other embryo I'm not sure of its stats, but Den said they mentioned something about it also compacting. They'll culture it to day 5 to see if it's a good candidate for freezing, but I have a good feeling about it. Yay!
Hi ladies, quick update. We had our 3 day transfer today. I transfered back all 3 embies. 2 of them were 8 cells and the other one was 6 cells. All three where excellent quality. I'm feeling cautiously optomistic that this will work. I've been in bed rest since I got home but I just had to get up and give you guys a quick update.
I'm feeling like a balloon. I picked up DH from a party yesterday and I had to make sure my huge bloated belly was covered with my coat... I didn't want anyone thinking I pregnant. I look like I'm 5 months along! I had to pull out my maternity pants to wear... I could *not* do up my jeans yesterday, it was so freakin' uncomfortable.
Thankfully it looks like I have escaped the worst of OHSS... I have none of the bad symptoms, no weight gain, no severe pain, no fever. I just feel like a blimp and am very uncomfortable. I can handle that. It's worth it.
I've been laying around for the past two days and I'm going crazy. Tommorrow I return to my somewhat hectic life, can't wait. Natalie, I know what you mean about the 2 ww being around xmas time so hopefully I won't have too much time to obsess over ever little thing. I was thinking of poas xmas day but I don't know it's a scary thought. What about you, what are your plans? Are you just going to wait for your beta? Mine's is scheduled for the 26 and I guess I just wanted to be prepared for what ever results I get. Make sure to drink lots of liquids, it's suppose to help with the swelling.

what Barbie said about the water. My IVF nurse warned me since she said I would probably have OHSS and told me to drink a liter or more of water for the bloating...
Barbie, I am glad that you have rested these past couple of days and are ready for work tomorrow. I hope that the rest did the trick. Good Luck on deciding when to test...its a hard one...Hope you figure it out soon...
