has anyone ever found a dr that will allow you to use eggs from a family member, if they are only 18 years old?? I am considering going to england to have the IVF done, because they do allow it there.... i would rather do it here in the U.S. if possible though!

I think it just really depends on your DR.. there is so much Legal things with Egg Donations.. but with family members.. it should go alot smoother!!

Many doctors do do this, but you and the family member will need to go through the same legal channels as a semi-anonymous donor.

Also, having looked into this more, while donation from 18yos is common, many doctors hesitate when it's to a family member. How will this barely-adult feel seeing her biological child call someone else Mom? Even for older family-to-family donors have this problem. A good doctor will look at the overall situation in addition to just what's allowed or not. She may say she's fine with it, but he could have the feeling that it might not be the best situation. If you want something done, you can always find a doctor who will do what you want (look at Nadya Suleman's dr), but seek a second opinion before castin gthis doctor off as somehow wrong.
