How do I count the cycle?

OK, this may be a dumb question, but the Roll Call thread got me thinking...am I counting my IVF CD correct? Here is a summary:

AF arrived on jul 15
bcp july 17-30
lupron july 24-aug19
follistim 225 starting aug 9
menopur 75 starting aug 9
tentative retrieval aug 21

I was counting today as CD 14. RE told me AF should show up sometime next week too. And do I keep on counting from jul 15?

once you start stims they will say Treatment Day 1 ect ect. so its kind of like CD 1 when you start your stims because when you get to retrieval that is like Ovulation Day and thats how they will figure your due date as well based on the date of your retrieval.

Ahhhh, okay, so techincally today I am CD0? And when I start follistim on Aug 9, that will be CD1?

What does "CD" mean? As in "CD1?"

OH! Cycle Day...gawd. I am so embarrassed. How are you feeling by the way?

Me? The shots make me slightly nauseus and tired. But not so bad!

Betsy, I am doing okay with the shots. I've got a bit of insomnia and tummy problems, but those started right around the time that I started bcp. Tomorrow is my last bcp! I go in on Aug 7 for an u/s to see if there is any activity. Fingers crossed that there is NOT! And then the real meds begin!

So sorry to hear about insomnia. I have the OPPOSITE issue. I get sooooo tired during the day. It's weird. Just so sleeeeeppppy. Zzzzzzzzzzz. And some slight nausea.

I was supposed to start gonal-f shot tonight. But my period never came so we are waiting until Friday and some more blood work and sonogram to determine for sure. I have endometriosis so that is why things are wacky.

So Lupron 10 units only until further notice.

I am okay though! I feel excited.

I know, I feel excited too!!!

Bummer about AF not showing up! Keep us posted on how friday goes!!

I've got Stage 2 endo, but I never really noticed any symptoms. My RE cleaned it up in Feb 08. Am sure it's back by now. I take my last bcp tonight...WOOHOO! I pray AF shows up on Monday or Tues! And I go for a scan to see if I am clear on Aug 7.

I am going to move over to posting my updates in the IVF in Aug/Sept thread.
