Okay I was watching the video for how to give this injection and it says it is supposed to be at room temperature when you give it. But, it is stored in the refrigerator. So are you supposed to take it out of the fridge and let it warm to room temp and then put it back in the fridge? I don't want to be overcomplicating this.

Help!

Patty - yes, you just take it out and let it warm to room temp and then put it back in the frig when you are done. I usually let it sit out about 20 minutes and find that it's no longer cold.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the lightening fast response! I kind of figured that but I just wanted to be sure. I really would rather ask you guys the basic questions instead of annoying the nurse with every little thing.

Yep, that's what my nurse told me, too! If I'm in a hurry, I just go ahead and put the medicine into the syringe and then hold the syringe between my fingers for a couple minutes to help it warm up.

That is weird. My doc. did not tell me to refrigerate the Gonal F. I have Citratide(sp?) that needs to be in the refrigerator but she never said the Gonal F

Gonal F does not need to be refrigerated - it's optional and I'm not really sure why they tell you to refrigerate it, because all the information says it can be stored at room temp even after opening. But, I still refrigerate it!

I did not realize that. I assumed it needed to be refrigerated because the package it came in was in ice and said refrigerate after opening.

If you are doing the pens, it says right in the packaging it doesn't need to be refrigerated. Everyone seems to do it anyway though
