Starting a thread for the girls!

I will be start BCP May 10th, and starting my actual IVF cycle in June! I hope I'm not the only one....I need some cycle buddies to keep me sane, lol!! This is our 1st IVF after 6 years of TTC. We are paying 100% out of pocket, so it has taken us a while to save up enough. A little background on us~I am Amber (27) and my DH is 29, Over the course of 5 years, we did over 30 clomid cycles, and 6 injectable (Gonal F) cycles. All BFN, except 1 that ended in m/c at 13 weeks. During this time we were just using my OB/GYN and thought PCOS/anovulation was our only problem (his SA is perfectly normal). We then decided to bite the bullet and travel 3 hrs to see a RE. Within 30 minutes, our whole TTC journey changed. He said the PCOS was secondary to all of the pelvic adhesions I had after 6 abdominal surgeries. So we were given a 5% chance of conceiving without IVF, so with that low of odds, we knew we better start saving!! I hope to get to know you other ladies and have a sounding board for all of my questions!!

Hi Amber, I think I will be in the June group. My name is Michelle (32) and my DH is (34). We are ttc#2 for about 1 1/2 years. We have a DS who is 2 1/2 years old which was conceived with Puregon injections and IUI after many failed Clomid and IUI treatments. We did IVF for the first time last year and unfortunately had a mc at 7 weeks. Then did a FET in Oct and had a CP. So after all that we are finally back for another round and just found out today that I will start BCP around May 5-9. Don't have a set date cause I have to wait for AF to show up so that is my tentative start date.

So I'm thinking by the time all the meds and the extraction and what not that will bring me into June so hopefully I'm correct and not jumping the gun.

I am so sorry for all of your struggles and your loss, ttc is such a tough emotional journey. I wish you the best of luck with this IVF cycle and pray you will get a great BFP and a very sticky bean. Seems like we might be really close in cycles when we start our BCP.

Just popping in to say hi! It's not for sure yet, but we'll more than likely be attempting a FET in September, which means doing all of my pre-IVF testing once again in August. I should be around to cheer you all on.

I am new to IVF and this message board. It looks like my IVF cycle will be in August/September.
It has been a long and difficult journey, as I am sure it has been for most everyone here too!

haha! I figured a new clean thread would be easier for new girls, rather than digging through numerous pages with the Jan-May thread. And now that I know that I can edit the titles for threads that I start, I can keep changing if I need to!

Ok, something to write about! I called the RE's office and told them I would like to get started with my cycle as soon as I get back from vaca in June. So, I will be starting Progesterone on June 14th, to get AF hopefully a week or two later. Then it's IVF time!

Good, Glenda! I sure hope this is the time for you!! All you've been doing is having to wait!

AFM, I don't think we'll be trying a FET this year- we'll probably wait until next Spring. I'm just trying to get this endo pain managed and I don't think a few months will do it. That's not to say that in 3 months I can't change my mind, but for now... I'll just be your cheerleader!

Hi girls I'm Sarah (36) and DH is Matt (37). We've been ttc no 1 for nearly 3 years. I had 6 months of clomid last year and a lap in january. We have unexplained infertility. AF showed uo on Monday (early and lighter than normal). I had a blood test for my hormone levels on Tuesday and have an appointment for a scan and to hopefully start my injections for IVF on 21st May. If all goes to plan we should be well underway by June

So finally starting our second IVF.

Got AF on May 5 (never thought I would be so excited to actually get AF) and I will begin BCP on Fri, May 7. I missed the call from the nurse today

so I have to wait until tomorrow to call her back and find out what my timeline will be. I'm so excited that it is finally starting.

I'm feeling good. Just started my birth control pill today, so tentative outline is to start lupron on May 15, then gonal-f around May 25. Possible extraction June 8-10 and possible embryo transfer June 13-15. So I'm so excited that it is finally starting.

I look forward to going on this IVF journey with all the ladies here. Hopefully all of us on this thread will have BFP to talk about this year!

Michelle, I am hoping to have my retrieval and transfer right around the same time as you, (if I get AF on my own), If not, then I will be probably 2 weeks behind you.

Hi girls - I was on the IVF for Feb/March/April. I did IVF in March/April and had a positive pg test but then after my second beta it was confirmed that I was no longer pg - so I have a follow up with my RE on Tuesday and hopefully we will have an idea as to whether I will be joining you girls over here

Hi Lorie, Sorry to hear that happened. That was the same for me in October so I hope you are doing ok. Hopefully you will find out on Tues when you can start again.

I received my medications today. I'm to start lupron on Sat., May 15, then start Gonal-F and Menopur on May 28. Last time I did IVF I mixed Luveris with the Gonal F and only had to do one needle so this time doing 3 needles seems a little overwhelming but I'm hoping that with the change this will be good news and we will get a very sticky bean from it all.
