Last time we just did a 3 day and never questioned it. But this time we have discussed doing a 5 day transfer.

What have you decided? Does your dr choose or give you an option?

Which do YOU feel has a better success rate?

We discussed with my doctor and did a 5 day - even though I m/c we will be doing a 5 day transfer again. My doctor feels in my case a more developed embryo is better and after reading all there is on it I can't say I would argue with her.

I know I'm already done IVF but we did a 5 day transfer with both the IVF's that we did. I'm the same as Lori and even though we did have a m/c a 5 day embryo was better. I think it is the assumption that if done naturally typically embryo's don't implant into the uterus until day 5 of the embryo's life so that's why they try to take them to day 5 now. But of course, that being said it is better to implant a day 3 if it looks like it might not make it to day 5.

we did a 3 day embryo transfer with two embies last time. We only had 3 8-cell embies and froze one of them. We did get pregnant but it turned out to be my daughter had a WHOLE SLEW of issues. I always wonder if her embie would have made it to day 5 or if the fozen would have been a better embie to last
