Am I crazy for wanting multiples?

I know there are a lot of health risks for the babies as well as myself if I become pregnant with multiples, but DH and I wanted 3-4 children we have one now but with the difficulty we have had TTC this second child and the fact that we may not be able to afford another IVF procedure I really have been seriously considering asking the doctor to put 2 or 3 in there. (whatever their cutoff is is what I am sure they will transfer, but I really think I'm going to ask.)

Am I crazy? I am not one of the people who want multiples because they think its "cool", I really just want a healthy baby but so much wanted to see more than two in our future.

Not really. This is mine and my hubby's one and only IVF attempt and last chance to have kids. I wouldn't mind twins, but he does. I just want his baby.

I can understand your concern with the health aspect of it, but I have to say I don't think I would mind multiples at this point. With my age, and good health, for the first attempt they don't see any reason to transfer more than one. If this try doesn't take, then we might be possibly talking transfering 2 next time.

I am sure it would be overwhelming to have multiples my first time out the gate being a mom and all, but we have talked about it already and know it could be a possibility - We'll see what happens....
