Anybody here go right to IVF after consecutive M/Cs?
I am thinking that it is the route I want to take especially since they can test for chromosomal anomalies. The intramuscular injections sure look scary!

Hi,

I am in my 2nd cycle of IVF. The injections aren't bad. You do get sore but its completely do-able. I think its easier compared to some procedures I've had during TTC.

Me-38 DH-38. TTC #1 since August 2009
2/2011 - IUI + Femara + HCG trigger and Progesterone injection BFN
3/2011 - IUI + Femara + HCG trigger and Progesterone injection
4/2011 - not doing IUI - DH out of town
5/2011 - IUI with Femara and HCG trigger. In hospital due to infection from IUI.
Took a break from all meds this summer.
9/2011: - Start with new RE - testing begins.
10/2011: - Hysteroscopy - determine tubes are blocked.
10/2011 : - Laparoscopy - clip blocked tubes, determine right ovary is adhered to pelvic wall, cut adhesions
11/24/2011: IVF cycle #1 begins. Start stims.
12/2/2011: End stims. HCG trigger.
12/4/2011: Egg Retrieval. 9 eggs, only 1 embryo.
12/7/2011: Transfer.
12/20/2011: IVF #1 failed.
1/16/2012: IVF #2 first scan

I am sorry for you losses. Have they figured out why you keep having them? Maybe IVF isn't the answer. Maybe they can just fix what is wrong that you keep having MC. Are you sure it's genetic or quality of egg? Sometimes its things that can be fixed. My neighbor had 2 mc and she is 25 weeks pregnant right now. They found many things that needed corrected so that she could carry her baby boy. I hope the fixes for you are easy too.

Cycle 7 SA results abnormal morphologhy, 50 mg clomid = BFN
Cycle 8 sonogramn normal 50 mg clomid + trigger = BFN
Cycle 9 SA results abnormal morphology and motility. Count 200 mill, 100mg clomid + trigger = BFN
Cycle 10 natural = BFN
Cycle 11 hsg tubes clear, natural + trigger+iui = BFN
Cycle 12 repronex + trigger + 2 iui = BFN
Cycle 13 natural ovaries to stimulated for more meds = BFN
Cycle 14 natural cycle - planning ivf/icsi/donor egg in Oct =BFN
Cycle 15 natural cycle - searching for donor = BFN
Cycle 16 natural cycle = I am sure it will be BFN
Cycle 17 natural cycle with Acupuncture =

That's what I was going to ask as well...have you had any testing to find a cause for the m/c s? How old are you?

IVF with PGD could help, but the answer might be a whole lot less complicated and expensive!

Hmmm, have you used progesterone after you ovulate??? My doctor is BIG on prescribing progesterone to support the uterine lining, which helps a lot he says. He has done a lot of research on that. Good luck!

Me: 30 (could lose a few pounds!)
DH: 39 (low morphology - 2%)
Married since Feb 2010
TTC since August 2010
TTC naturally for one year August 2010 until August 2011 and knew something was wrong
Aug 2011-Oct 2011: Saw RE #1 - bad experience- started clomid and recommended IUI, which failed.
Started with NEW RE October/November 2011
Found DH's low morphology in October/November 2011
HSG - no issue with tubes
RE Recommended IVF with ICSI - decided to start the process in Jan.
IVF Cycle #1:

ER 2/2/12 - 13 retrieved, 12 fertilized, 8 frozen.
ET 2/5/12 - transferred two embryo's - 8 cell and 7 cell
Beta HCG on 2/17/12: :BFN:
