I had my appointment with the RE today for a baseline and an ultrasound. I got the call to start my meds today!! My hubby tells me we are now in the meat of things now LOL... which we are getting there. I am starting on only one vial a day of bravelle then they may move me up to 2 a day. They are trying to keep my from hyperstimulating which made me extreamly sick and I was hospitalized for a few days!!! Which I understand does not happen very often for those of you who are doing this for the first time.Don't fear. I have severe PCOS so it is a complication of IVF. I am really hoping that this time I don't hyperstim so we can have a totally fresh cycle. We are also having genetic testing done on our embryos due to a few issues I've had in the past with misscarriages and degrading embryos.
I am really excited about this round I think it will work out with no problems, but I am a bit nervous that things my not work exactly like I am planning.
Did anyone else start their stims this week? I know sleepinangel you did. It sounds like we will be falling at pretty much the same time. I hope to hear how all of your calanders are going!

No but I'll ask tomorrow for sure. I'm assuming next week for the retrieval and the week after that for the transfer

We're starting our Lupron today and also had our baseline. We had 9 total antral follicles, 3 up from our last antral count, so I'm hoping to produce a few more follies than last time.

We're pretty excited to be in the "meat of things".

I feel like I can post here again because I FINALLY got AF (8 days late?!?) so I'll be gearing up for our transfer. I'm starting BCP tomorrow (day 3). I have to call the clinic and figure out what other meds I'll be on before the transfer.

I'm a bit late to the party, but the process is moving MUCH faster than we expected. We have our consent signing this Tuesday 9/11, at that appt I will get medroxyprogesterone to bring on AF then on CD3 I'll begin my BCPs. We are shooting for an October retrieval/transfer! Eeek! This is our first IVF cycle so please forgive me if I ask a million +1 questions!

I'm not sure about the number. I might get two or three before my ER. When I get my results tomorrow, they'll probably tell me to come for an u/s on Wednesday and then I'll probably go back on Friday. But that's just a guess

With both my fresh I had a baseline U/S and 3(first fresh) & 4(second fresh) monitoring U/Ss so 4-5 total before ER plus bloodwork. Do you get put under for ER?

No, they numb the cervix. We also get a sedative before the ER. I prefer that over anesthesia, I would have a lot more trouble recovering from that :/

Edit: I have my u/s on Friday. Results from the blood work were normal No need to adjust the medication. Well, this is going better than I thought it would. Maybe once in my life things will be easy. I have no side effects other than a bit of fatigue but I'm off work this week so it's helping I get to rest.

*knock on wood for the 10th time since starting my IVF cycle *

Good luck ladies!! We are still stimming, had a scan today and at this moment we have 13+ follies moving right on along. At this same time last ivf, we had 5 less, so I'm definitely hopeful and thankful for more follies. Retrieval is looking like Monday/Tuesday next week. I'm just hoping that they can retrieve close to the estimated #. Last time we were only able to get 4 out of the 8 he thought I had.

Can't wait to see everyone's progress!
