Kayakr- I'm doing a lot better today trying to drink as much water and Gatorade I can stand. Mild cramping again and very soar boobs. I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel just have to make it to Christmas Eve then I will know if I get to start my pregnancy journey. I also found out I have 3 frostie babies so that is giving me hope that if it doesn't work this time we still have 3 try's.

Jenny- thanks for the info, I hope it is prego symptoms not AF!

Me too! The only reason I know about Lovenox - is because i was taking it while on BCPs and during my retrieval cycle because I have MTHFR - a blood clotting disorder...

JD- that is great you are feeling better. Hopefully those sore bbs are a good sign.
I hope you can start your pregnancy journal too. I bet it does feel better knowing there are 3 frost babies waiting on you.

Kayakr - Yes - this process is insane. Pump us full of hormones, and the put us on pins and needles for a couple months!! Well - longer than that!! Sounds like both donors are great choices for you either way. Hope one of them gives you your baby!! To answer your question - yes, January/February they will be doing the FET - I'm calling with my first day of my period - and I'm not sure of the process at that point - I'm thinking BCPs as well... I've done an FET before - but I don't remember much about it!!

jd - I'm starting to despise gatorade!! YUCK!!!

I am so glad to be a part of this forum! And to have "met" you ladies! I didn't have time to reply before work this morning but it was sure nice to have reassurance about the progesterone. Yes, I am on progesterone, 8% cream Crinone once daily and estrogen patch, so the cramping is most likely left over from the harvesting, right? It still hurts today, but I am being more generous with myself with pain meds (I am a bit scared of anything in the codine family) so I am feeling it less. Thank you all for your support! I go in to the office in the morning for a estrogen and progesterone blood test. I wonder if they will look at HCG at the same time? If they arent planning to I am going to ask! The nurse said that there's a good chance I could get pregnant with triplets since I was implanted with 3 viable, PGD-approved blasts that were hatched and gooing strong, wouldn't that be an answer to prayer, but she's probably just being encouraging, right? I am dying to know if Hughie Dewie and Louie have snuggled in down there!! My poor husband, its hard for me to think of anything else and I am afraid my conversation topics are a little limited at the moment... poor man!

morford - any test updates? I have my fingers crossed for you!

Jenny - Did you hear on your PGD testing? How did the kiddos do? If you are like me you are on pins and needles and lunging for the phone every time it rings! We did a day 3 biopsy and a day 5 transfer. My doctor said he personally feels that leaving embryos to Day 6 makes them less likely too implant, although he added that was his personal opinion and there were plenty of doctors who didn't think it made a difference. Its amazing being at such cutting edge of technology, its like we are the guinea pigs the doctors are learning on.

Kayakr - Thank you again for your support and putting my mind at ease on getting my period. It seems silly now My brother and I both got dad's height, for what that's worth. Glad you have a lineup of good options!

Ha, I should have refreshed before posting.

Why are you drinking Gatorade? Is that recommended? I hadnt heard that before.

I'm trying to eat the "anti inflammatory" foods in hopes that helps my ovaries to calm down - so lots of spinach, blueberries, raspberries, organic up the wazzoo, that sort of thing. Also Prenatal vitamins, ofc, and tons of water. HD has a case of bottled water next to my bed so I can help myself while on bed rest. I'll probably stop the bed rest tomorrow... I decided to extend it a couple days because I've read about late implantation, and I want to give Larry Moe and Curly every possible opportunity to do their thang.

Overkill? Probably!

Thanks everyone for all the support. It is really helping me talk about all of this with you all, I don't have anyone I know who has gone through anything like this. So thanks everyone.
Paula- my doctor had me start drinking a gallon of Gatorade or pedialyte two days before my retrival and he told me to continue with that until a positive result. He told me the electrolytes help with the OHSS, he also told me to eat a lot of protien as well. Needless to say after drinking every flavor of Gatorade under the sun I am so sick of it! I just want a diet coke lol!

I haven't Peed on any more sticks i am just going to wait on the beta on Christmas Eve.

Just a quick update -

PGD labs are closed for the holidays. So I'm stuck waiting until the new year. I wish my RE's office would have informed me of this BEFORE I was getting the news at work bawling my eyes out!

Paula – I wouldn’t have been able to survive the last two years without this forum and the support and knowledge from the ladies on here. When I was emotional wreck (which is most of the time) these ladies knew what to say. Also the knowledge and even just the support has been irreplaceable to me in this process. Hopefully soon we are all celebrating with you your BFP.

I am sure it’s still from the harvesting and even the a little overstimulation from the stim meds. It took my ovaries over 30 days to stop throbbing and having sharp pains now and then when I was OHSS.

I like how you keep naming your embies something different… Larry Curley and Moe…. Lol

Jenny – I am sorry you have to wait till the New Year to hear about your testing. This process is such a rollercoaster. Hang in there.

JD – Mine told me to drink Gatorade when I had OSSS too. Maybe you can have a diet Coke on Christmas to celebrate your BFP.

I haven’t heard from my clinic yet if LAC is going to be our donor yet. I wish they would call me and tell me. I am C23 8DPO today. I hope I get a BFP for Christmas and tell LAC we won’t be needing her. We have about a good a chance at that as we doing winning the lottery though.

What a great idea on the Gatorade! I'll have to remember that! I agree about the diet coke on Christmas to celebrate BFP!

I may join you, although mine will be for New Years, as my Beta isnt until the 28th. And if mine is BFN, I'll be celebrating with something stronger

I'm confused how the PGD lab can close for the holidays? What are they doing with the fresh embies? Freezing them for 2 weeks? That doesnt seem ethical. Is it too late to use a new PGD lab? That wait would be torture.

My ovaries are actually feeling a bit better today. I've cut back to only 1 Vicodin at a time.

I am tempted to try to pee on a stick tomorrow morning. Any advice for or against? In theory is the main argument against testing at home that if its negative we'll be disappointed, perhaps unnecessarily? I had my embies transferred on Monday, so tomorrow morning I'll be 5dpt, and I've read online some ladies having positives (ok early positives) on day 5. I know it would be early (that IS considered early, right?) so I know I shouldn't be disappointed if its negative, as its really too early... Thoughts? Is this a mistake?

I did get the trigger shot about, um, maybe 36 hours before retrieval? Could it still be in my system?

You have not offically gone crazy. YET. lol I can't see the picture of your beautiful blasts.

I am 10dpo today and poas this evening. BFN for me. Looks like IVF is def in my near future and LAC hopefully give us lots and lots of eggs and snowbabies.

Paula - I wouldn't test tomorrow morning if I were you. It is still super early and your trigger is probably still going to show up a little.

Good Luck with your Beta tomorrow Jenny. Praying you get the best Christmas present EVER.

I tested again this morning with FMU 11DPO BFN. I am to call RE on first day of AF for exam and to start BCP for IVF. Looks like LAC is going to make her $3,500.00 after all.

Hi everyone just wanted to say happy Christmas Eve! Paula I loved your picture of your blasts! I have mine on my phone and look at it when I get down. I am finally here the day of my beta. I am so nervous I feel like I want to throw up, my beta is less than an hour, I am hoping we will have happy news in about 5 hours from now. I love everyone's idea about the diet coke to celebrate, I am so going to pop one if it is BFP. I will come back on and post my results everyone please keep up the prayers and well wishes! Thanks!
