Yay Brooke! Good Luck in case I'm not back on here before your ER!
I had BW on Friday for progesterone, I went to the local hospital instead of driving 3 hours. I got up bright and early so they could get the best results (RE wanted it early). Apparently they can't read because they did a beta instead of progesterone so I got to go back in the afternoon; I swear people are going to start thinking I'm a junkie with all the needle marks in my arm. They can't ever get a good vein in my right arm so its always the left. Oh well, I'm getting good at not flinching when I get stabbed with needles Hubby also had to stick me twice the other night because he forgot to get the air out of the syringe before stabbing me.
Quick question...does anyone else get extremely hungry on the PIO? Most days I can go without eating much of anything and not notice, but I swear if I don't eat like every 2-3 hours I'm starving.
I hope everyone had a great weekend!

JenLynn – Thinking of you today!! Can’t wait to hear your beta numbers!!!
Brooke – good luck tomorrow!
Kim – frustrating they drew the wrong lab, hopefully they’ll get it right later today. Not sure that I’ve noticed an increase in hunger when I’ve been on PIO, but I think the longest I’ve ever been on it was 4 days so maybe not long enough to get a lot of side effects.
AFM – I’m about to leave for RE to have my first labs and lining check, I work all day and evening so I’ll be back later tonight to update you all, wish me luck
ops...meant to ask how everyone else is doing....Leah, Gretchen and anyone else I might have forgotten (sorry) how are things going?

Today is 14 days (2 weeks!) on the decapeptyl. Going for my suprsson check on Thursday 21st, and if all looks good, I get the go ahead to start stiming!
Me: One week on Lupron - doing okay. Belly a little bruised up. I get crabby a few hours each day but other than that there is no real side effects. Oh yeah - zero s&x driver that's for sure. Did you guys have a s$x drive while on that?
My last day of BCP was sat. I could be CD 1 sometimes this week. I wonder if the Lurpon will stop AF?
Looks like everyone is totally on the train now! Good luck to you ladies in the TWW.
Kim, sorry you're having to get stuck so much. My DH aspirated blood the other night and had to stick me twice as well- those two areas are getting really sore! And I have also noticed I am hungrier than usual on PIO. I just started yesterday using the "My Fitness Pal" app to track everything I eat so I can make sure I'm getting enough protein and try not to eat too much of the bad stuff. :/
Aimee- good luck!!! Hope your labs and lining look great!
I had beta #1 this morning: 272!!! YAY!!! I go back on the 25th for beta #2!
Fingers and toes crossed for everything coming up for you ladies!!
Grace- Yay for starting stims on Thursday! That's when it started feeling more real for me!
Gretchen- My AF was a couple days late on Lupron but still started. It should come.
Amy- Yay!!! That's an awesome number for first beta!!! I'll be with you on the 25th for my first beta. I need to quit being a baby, the shots really don't even hurt, I just hate all the bruising and prick marks. I know there could be such worse side effects than I'm experiencing too... I've read about them at least. During the week I don't do too bad about my diet, but I'm terrible on the weekends when hubby is home.
Have a great day everyone!

Gretchen, I didn't have af come late at all on the lupron, hopefully you are right on schedule, but if not, a day or two here or there doesn't matters much!
Grace, we're sooooo close!!
I go in for my baseline tomorrow, which is weird, because I still have to take bcp's tomorrow. And then I start my injectibles Saturday!!
*LARGE, HUGE, ENORMOUS RANT*** read at your own risk - I had a major freak out today. All my bloodwork for ins was denied, even my infectious disease stuff. So irritating. And then I noticed online they are raising our ins premium $250 MORE a month starting in June. They just raised it 80$ more a month on March 1st this year! WTH? I hate insurance. The only thing I've used it for is a flu shot this year. They are not even covering my progesterone!
Then a coordinator told me today (through email) my injectible meds are going to be $3095, which I have to pay for tomorrow. They said I need 11 Menopur and 46 Bravelle, BUT my protocol sheet says 8 Menopur and 28 Bravelle, so I have no idea what/where/who they are confusing me with. that is a huge difference in vials and over $1000 difference in price!
I just had to pay another $476 for the ganirelix, trigger, valium, estrace, antibiotics and a couple other things as well today. *sigh* I feel so stressed out over the cost of it. And this is the little stuff compared to the actual cost of the program. I just feel like we are hemmoraging money...... And I know everyone else has to pay this much too.
Rant over *sigh* - I don't want to be stressed out right now! Good thing I have acupuncture tomorrow!
Leah - omigoodness! I can't believe you are having to go through all of that extra added stress at this point! I hate insurance too - I think its a big giant scam (sorry to anyone working in that industry. Mostly those feelings stem from business insurance which is a ridiculous scam.. sorry, rant over). I will be praying that things will settle down with the money & pray that everything goes smoothly!
Just got home and wanted to update, lining was checked by transvaginal ultrasound, then had blood work to check estrogen and progesterone levels, everything looks good so I start Doxy, Mederol and PIO tonight, then go in Wednesday morning for another blood drawl and instructions for the transfer on Thursday! Goodness, I'm getting so excited and nervous all over again.

Hey ladies! Had the ER this morning - everything went good! my RE retrieved 8 eggs, which is what he was hoping for... and what we prayed for! Will know tomorrow how many fertilized & I'm praying for some good embies!!
Transfer is tentatively scheduled for either Friday or Sunday, but RE is leaning towards Sunday.
Pain: minimal. They only took out 8 and from what I've read the more eggs retrieved the more painful it is... but it just feels like a really bad AF cramps to me. I have no recollection of the procedure itself - love IV sedation!
Here's hoping everyone else had a great day!
Brooke
Leah- sorry about the extra expenses, I would be freaking out as well! That's a lot of extra money to just come up with in a day. I get frustrated when there are extra costs and I have some time, they need to be honest with us about costs. Paying OOP is rough!
Brooke- yay! Glad you got 8, Good Luck!
Aimee- Yay for starting! How long is your cycle for the FET, how does everything differ from full on IVF? Good Luck!
AFM- I'm just waiting... I'm more than half way through the 2ww! Now I'm debating whether to POAS later this week, DH doesn't really want me to but Friday is 2 weeks from ER. hmmm

Brooke - 8 is great Can't wait to hear the fert report in the morning!!
Jenlynn, can't wait to hear that sky-high beta on the 25th! Why do they do them so far apart! That is torture
Aimee - so close now!
Gretchen, how are you doing?
AFM, I had my baseline U/S and bloodwork today, my AFC was 4 < 10 on the right and 5 < 10mm on the left, with a lining of 3.9A....last time was 3R/6L and 3.8A....so I seem to not have changed much in three years LOL....no msg for me on the voicemail system, so my E2 must have been good and supressed. Last bcp was tonight and I start Injectibles on Saturday 4vials Bravelle/2vials Menopur, Appts on Monday and Wed next week.
I had acupuncture tonight and it relaxed me, but then I fell in the parking lot (dumb, checking my phone and slipped on ice). My leg above my ankle is a bit swollen, but doesn't hurt much. So silly.
I got some big ole boxes of meds today I found out today that with the Ganirelix, I have to take Menopur with it, thus the 3 extra vials they added to my order. DH FREAKED out when he saw all the needles, he said they made him whoosy just looking at them. It's not even like he has to inject himself, or me for that matter. LOL . Good thing I don't mind needles!
Kim - don't test. Just wait for beta. I sure hope it's a BFP for you girlie. Good luck.
Brook - 8 is awesome. Hopefully they all fertilize. Glad you don't remember the proceedure either.
Aimee - It wont be long now... Praying hard for you.
Leah - sorry you fell int he parking lot. You must have been really relaxed. I miss my exit on the highway sometimes after my acupuntures becuase of day dreaming and being relaxed. I hope your leg feels better before you have to deal with being pregnant.
Me: Waiting for AF. Should be here today. I am crampy like it will be here today. I then go in on CD3 for baseline and get protocol. Still on the Lupron. I am guessing I will start more meds on CD3 when I go in but not sure which ones. Donor is on CD3 today so she is there today for baseline and starts her stimes today I think. Acupunture for me tomorrow night.
Grace - where you at?
Nicolle - thanks for checking on us! It is good to know I am not the only one that had zero s$x drive on this Lupron. My poor DH I went from like 100 to zero in just a few weeks. lol
Just realized they never sent any of my Menopur/Bravelle syringes or needles, only the ones for Progesterone in Oil...I just kept looking at them and thinking they are WAY too huge and long to go in my stomach and I didn't have enough of them! SO glad I called the nurse at the clinic.
What if that happened to someone who had never done the shots before???, they wouldn't have known! And I would not have been able to do my shots on Saturday, - who knows if I would have gotten ahold of someone on the weekend!
They called in a prescription for the additional syringes and needles to my local walmart. WHEW. No more issues, please!
