Grace – good luck tomorrow, hope you get the go ahead to start stiming!!

Gretchen – hope AF shows today! What do you start once she shows?

JenLynn- Congratulations, great numbers!

Leah – glad you didn’t injury yourself too bad when you fell, hope you heal fast! Glad you got your meds and things will be starting soon

Brooke – 8 eggs is great, hopefully they’ll all fertilize and you’ll have plenty to freeze.

Kim – hope and fx for you that whenever you do decide to test it’s a nice BFP! To me the FET seemed to take much longer than the fresh cycle, especially because my RE wanted to do an endometrial biopsy the cycle before the transfer cycle, than I had to postpone for a cycle due to work.

Nicolle – thanks for the luck.

OK, just wanted to sum up my FET cycle timeline
I was on BCP, just to fit into RE schedule, end up being about three weeks, when AF started

Day 1 one estrogen patch
Day 3 one patch
Day 5 one patch
Day 7 two patches
Day 9 three patches
Day 11 four patches (continue 4 patches every other day until otherwise told)
Day 14 morning baseline lining check and blood work (E2, P4, EM and LH) then start the PIO (100mg/2 mL) every night until told otherwise, Doxy twice daily x 4 days, and Mederol 16mg x 4 days
Day 15 blood work again to check E2 and P4
Day 16 transfer!

And here are my instructions for the morning:

@ 0800am insert 2 endometrin vag suppositories
@1045am take my valium and drink 20-25oz water
Be at the clinic no later than 11:00am
I’ll have acupuncture for about 45 minutes before transfer, then transfer, then another 45 minutes of acupuncture....then home for bedrest the rest of the day

On my schedule they have HCG scheduled for Luteal day 16, which would be April 6 th.

Questions….the schedule has me going back 3 days after transfer for blood work, estradiol and Progesterone, anyone heard of that before? Can they tell if implantation took place by looking at those labs at that time?

Thanks for all the well wish and luck, please keep them coming and if you believe in prayers please pray for me!

EEEEEK good luck Aimee! I'm not sure if they can tell if it took at only 3dpt, but I'm sure they want to make sure the progesterone level is high enough to support a pregnancy. So excited for you OMG! And YAY, so glad you are doing acupuncture too !

(ps, I posted some pics of my baby hats on the Wednesday thread in TTCMA)

thanks, like I don't know why I thought they could see implantation that early, I guess it's wishful thinking.

I felt Mallory implant at 2 days past transfer, I had sharp pinching on the left, which is the side they put her on, so maybe you'll feel something going on!

Thx for bookmarking. I can pretty much make anything you like/see on etsy. I made some super cute owl stuff for friends daughters hehe... I love owl stuff

J&K: Sorry for all the extra needle sticks! I would HATE that, just one is terrifying enough!

Gretchen, yep same with me, after 16 shots of the menopause-inducing craziness, I too have ZERO libido! How are you doing today? hope the needles are treating you well.

JennyLyn: I am praying your beta doubles at the next draw! That number is awesome BTW! Congrats!

Leah: So sorry about the added insurance stress, but YAY for a great baseline workup! I'm going to be stalking u all the way to your BFP!

Aimee: Crossing everything for you! T&Ps coming your way!!!

AFM: nothing new to report, but I'm sure I'll post some news after my baseline tomorrow!

Leah- Sorry about your fall, hope you are feeling better!

Getchen- Yay for CD1! I don't remember the last time we did the baby dance! Sorry to tell you I still pretty much have zero s$x drive.

Aimee- Glad you got your protocol, it's on now!!!

Grace- Good Luck! I shouldn't even be complaining about the double stabs cause they really don't bother me, I just don't like all the marks the needles leave. I bruise easily.

I hope everyone is doing good! You're all in my prayers!

AFM- Thanks for the support ladies! If I POAS it won't be until the weekend, I have a super busy day tomorrow and semi busy Friday. I'm not sure I could make it through the day working with babies if I got a BFN in the morning. Saturday my friend wants me to babysit her 3 y.o. as well so we'll see. I'm doing pretty good so far without so I might just make it to Monday! I actually have a little more energy the last few days than I did last week, not sure if that is good or bad. DH is pretty sure its a BFP, I'm not so sure what to think. I don't want to get my hopes up.

Hi guys, looking for some input.
So i performed baseline bloods and ultrasound today.

I dont have the blood results yet, but I do have the US results.

My IVF clinic will get back me to me this afternoon to let me know if I start the stims or not.

In the meantime, I've been freaking myself out over the ultrasound results.

It seems I have a fibroid on my uterus measuring 21mm.
The conclusion of the US is this: "Uterine myoma (fibroid 21mm), probably adenomyosis.

This sounds terrible!!! I kknow Dr google is the worst thing on earth, but can this stop my IVF cycle? Is this serious?

I also have 11 follicles on my right 4 x 6mm, 3 x 4mm, 4 x 3mm.
On my left I have 8 follicles measuring 11mm, 2x 7mm, 2 x 6mm, 5mm and 2 x 4mm.

Any thoughts?

Gosh Grace - I don't know. I would post that on the main board below so some ofthe experienced IVF'ers can answer. They don't come to this section much. I hope it isn't serious or interfers with IFV.

Good Luck today Aimee! Update us today! I hope your embies survive the thaw!

hey everyone! Been reading everyone's updates... so excited for everyone!

AFM: 5 embies made it to fertilization; we go in on Sunday for the transfer. I have a question though... DH wants to put back 2 (we don't know the grade or how good they are yet), I'm leaning towards 1. We'll get the RE's opinion on Sunday. Does anyone know if a 5 day blastocyst transfer has a better chance of implanting?

Also, those on PIO injections - what side effects are you experiencing?

Brooke, it really depends on the quality of the embryos on Day 5 as to what their chances are...your RE will be able to explain it all to you when you talk with him/her the day of the transfer. Letting the embies grow for 5 days gives you a better shot at picking healthy, strong ones to transfer. Good luck!

Claire was a Day 5 transfer, and we transferred 2 embies.

The twins were frozen on Day 6...our embies were a little slow to grow so they gave them the extra day to grow. We transferred 2 that time as well.

Hi ladies, I’m ecstatic to say, I’m PUPO!!!! We had two of the three embies survive. Even though I didn’t really care to know the grades, the where written on the back of the photo, so I know them. We have transferred 1 3 day 7 cell grade A and 1 3 dau 6 cell grade B, everyone was really happy and excited about the grades. Here is a picture of the two and then a picture of where they were implanted, between the two x’s

I'm having a little cramping, I think it's hunger cramping so I'm going to eat some soup, since i'm laying on the couch all day I'll be on off and on all day

Brooke - The grade can really make a difference, but there are so many variables to it working or not. I transferred two and got Mallory. I think transferring 2 will give you the best possible result of a pregnancy. But talk it over with your Dr. Depending on the quality and I'd see what he suggests.

Grace, I have two friends that went through pregnancy with a fibroid, one did IUI and the other did IVF, she even named her fibroid "frank the crank!" haha....The friend that did IUI didn't have any issues, they just kept track of it, it did grow during pregnancy, and the "frank fibroid" gave her a little pain in the middle and near the end, but didn't impact her pregnancy or her IVF cycle. I think it might matter where the fibroid is. But either way, I know they'll do what is right for you to give you the best outcome. ((HUGS))

Brooke – I agree with Melissa, since the embryos already survived to day 5 they are likely pretty strong and healthier so I’d be more willing to transfer one, but I’d talk to you RE and embryologist about it and get their recommendations.

Grace – I really hope the fibroid doesn’t cause you any trouble with your cycle.

Gretchen – Yep, I was given valium 10mg plus the acupuncture.

OK, I want to be completely honest, but transfer this morning hurt more than I thought it would. There were a few transfers this morning and the lab got a little backed up so it backed everything else up…so I had drank my 25ozs of water for the transfer, but then since they were behind I was told I could go to the bathroom if I needed to because I would have time to refill my bladder. So I went ahead and went, well, things started speeding up some so I didn’t get to drink as much water as I needed, so when they got me back in the OR my bladder wasn’t as full as it needed to be, so I was given two options, go back to the preop room and drink more water and be the last one of the day, or let them insert a cath into my bladder and fill it, well, since I was already back there and in the position and anxious to get it over with, I choice to have them fill my bladder….that’s where the pain comes into the picture….so since the bladder and the cervix are so close together they share some nerve endings and filling the bladder caused my cervix to start spasming so she couldn’t get the tool into my cervix for a few minutes. My cervix finally relax and she was able to insert the tool and the embryos….happy to say no pain now
