Ok guys, I finally just called them back because I was sick of waiting and pretty sure they were done with lunch (which is when they said they would call me back). I have a BFP, but numbers are a low at 48.2. I'm going back Friday for more BW, praying I just have late implant and they skyrocket by Friday.

Kim – that’s good news…you know you have at least one that implanted! There have been plenty of women that had low numbers the first time time and have gone on to have healthy babies (or two!) I hope your numbers skyrocket by Friday.

Aimee, Thank you! You are right! I'm just paranoid now and need to stop and be happy! Not exactly what I was expecting to hear but I need to get used to that, nothing that has happened thus far has been what I expected (with exception of the number of eggs at ER) and I'm still here so I need to stay positive! It could have all ended today and it didn't so I'm cautiously happy!!!

Hope everyone is having a great day!!!

Kim- congrats! I know many, many people begin successful pregnancies and deliver healthy babies after a low initial beta!

Gretchen- so sorry you are having such a hard time with the injectables. Those can certainly be difficult to work with, but I'm praying you get through the rest peacefully and easily. Also, yay for your DE starting stims!! Getting closer!

Grace- so sorry about the confusion with your BW appointment. I totally understand the stress of this whole process and getting worked up. DH and I have even had an argument or two which I was fully responsible for (due to, like you said, the "medicated mood swings"). Hang in there, and I'm praying that your BW is perfect tomorrow!

Aimee- I'd say wait a few more days, just in case you may get a false BFN due to it being a bit early. That is certainly tempting, though! Praying for your estrogen level and that your embies snuggle in!

Tarheel- I think you have the right idea waiting, I got a BFN at 5dp5dt and was totally bummed for no reason. GL!!

Leah- so sorry about your stress over the bleeding. I know it is common, but I understand your concern. My US tech never told me what my lining actually was, only that it "looked good." Praying for you!

AFM: had beta #2 today, my nurse called to tell me my level is now over 4,000??? What the heck is that? She said everything looks great and I have an ultrasound next Monday, but is it normal for a beta to be that high at this point??? I'm very excited, just want to be assured a beta that high is okay?

Can someone explain what "5dp5dt" means? Being a newbie I'm still figuring out all the acronyms!

So glad to see everyone's numbers looking good!! Kim, I hope your numbers will sky rocket soon, I can't wait to hear the good news.

Otherwise, I had a great baseline sono and our drugs arrive tomorrow. Starting injections on Friday night with first sono on 4/2...woohoo!

AFM - Does 4,000 mean it might be twins?

Cheers,
Tamara

Congrats on great betas! If you were 272 a week ago, then this beta is fantastic...if they doubled every 48 hours they would be 3264ish. Over 4,000 is definitely a good sign that you have a healthy pregnancy

Kim, you are 17dpo, right? I know that your beta wasn't what you wanted to hear, but please don't give up. A lot of women have low betas after IVF and have successful pregnancies. My 16dpo beta (actually 11fdp5dt...we transferred 2 embryos) was 12.4 and I was told that my pregnancy was not viable, but my little girl will be 3 in July. Sometimes, especially when multiple embryos are transferred, it takes them a while to snuggle in and grow. I'm cheering for a great number at your next draw!

Thanks guys!

Leah- I'm sure it will work out! Good Luck!

JenLynn- Those are awesome numbers, Congrats!!!

Melissa- I haven't given up by any means, was just shocked to hear that. Yes, I'm 17DPO/ER. I know I have no control over what happens and just happy that I'm still in the game. I was a little freaked out when I first got off the phone, I need to learn to let things process for a while. Thank you for telling me about your numbers, it definitely helps to hear that from someone who actually lived it!

Hi ladies... I need some advice. For the last 2 days (I'm 1dp5dt), I've had severe (and I apologize for the ) gas pains that have me clutching my stomach and racing for the bathroom because of the nausea that comes with it. I've never experienced something like st before and I'm afraid it's a bad sign from the transfer.

I had some minor AF-like cramping this morning on my left side of my uterus, but this isn't the same kind of cramping.

Any suggestions? Or just calm words of encouragement? I'm a little concerned since its happened 2 days in a row now.... BTW, I get indigestion every so often but this is completely different to me.

Now that I think about it, it happened on Friday too, so maybe just a side effect from the PIO injections?

Hi Guys! How's everyone doing?

Brooke: Sorry you're having stomach pains and nausea. Are you feeling any better today? Hoping the 2ww goes by quickly!

Gretchen, how did the delestrogen shot go? Were you able to get some sleep after it was done?

Aimee: Hope you dont stress too much about the estrogen. KUP when you test! FX!

Leah: My lining was 4mm at baseline and 7mm today (5th day of stims). Have you asked your doc about bleeding again?

Kim: Glad you're being positive! When is your next beta?

JenLynn: Congrats on your beta!

AFM: Had my progression check blood and US today.
The leading follicles on each side are at 12mm. I have a cople of these. Also a few smaller ones at 9mm, 8mm and 7mm. There are also several smaller ones at 4 and 3mm.

I would receive a call if I need to adjust the quantity of Gonal F to take tonight, but so far no call, so I think we'll go ahead as planned.

I'm feeling DEFINITE twinges, aches and pulls in the ovaries these days. Even the US was kinda painful as the tech was 'looking around' in there.

Praying its a good sign!

Hope everyone is having a fantastic Tuesday!

Kim-Congrats-I think 48 is just fine for your first beta! Fingers crossed for good doubling!

Jenlynn-YAY! Sounds like possible twins to me! :-)

Leah-TOY-hoping your cycle is going well and no more spotting

TandJ-Good luck with starting on Friday. When all of the meds arrived, that was when I really felt like things were finally underway

BBm-I've been having gas pains too!! Hoping its a good sign.

onlybygrace-those follies sound great, good luck. Hopefully that means not to long now.

Kayakr-how are you feeling?

I know I'm missing some, still trying to catch up but Thinking of you all (TOYA!)

AFM-Kinda overdid it yesterday and now I'm all kinds of crazy, thinking this cycle is a bust. Nervous about beta on Thursday. I thought DH would be working from home so we made a pact for me not to test if he would take the call. Now he's going into the office. Maybe I will go get my blood drawn then come home and test. need to relax....

Brooke- I had a lot of constipation/gas pains the first week in 2ww, a lot of that went away. You have been pumping your body full of hormones that screw things up, I think they are still getting out of your system. Plus like you said, your body is adjusting to the progesterone. Good Luck and I hope you are feeling better soon!

Grace- Glad to see things are moving right along! My next beta is on Friday

Tarheel- Thanks! Keep your head up you only have two more days till beta! I definitely had days where I doubted!

I hope everyone is having a great day!!!

Kim, YAY, you are PREGGERS!! It doesn't matter the number, it only matters that it doubles in 48 hours!

Brooke, I'm sorry you are in so much pain. I know the PIO is in sesame oil...any chance you are slightly allergic to sesame? I'd definitely call the Dr. and tell them what is going on. ((HUGS)) hope it subsides very quickly.

Tarheel OMG you have willpower girl!!...I can't wait till Thursday, how can YOU? Have you tested at all?
