I had 11 on the right and 7 on the left. Largest at 20 mm smallest ones around 13.4 mm. She warned that I would be sore afterwards because she would take them all. For those that have been through it before is retrieval painful?

I think it depends on how many they take out and how difficult they are to retrieve. I'd expect to take it easy for several days... My retrieval was on Tuesday and I didn't feel close to 100% until Saturday. For me, it felt like I had done a thousand crunches and the been whacked with a baseball bat. My RE had to push on my stomach to get to my ovaries, so that probably had something to do with it.

Best of luck to you!

Those are some good follies Hartbaybe. Good Luck on Friday.

Leah - let us know how your u/s went. Hopefully your follies are growing like weeds!

I hope the time passes fast for those in the TWW and that your BFP is right around the corner.

Me: U/S bloodwork today. I will get a call later after my bloodwork E2 comes back to let me know if I am to change the dosage on anything. I imaging I will be taking more Estradiol and more cc's of Delestrogen as well. RE said my linning was a C so far and it needs to be a an A or B. We are early in the process though. I asked what it measured and he just said C????? Any one know what that means? Donor also goes in today to start stims. The nurse told me today that donor is cute and looks like me and is pretty excited to be doing this. That made me feel pretty good. I want to take the rest of the day off work and sit in my RE's parking lot and try and see her. LOL I am kidding that would be pretty pschyo of me. lol I imagine trigger for her next Friday and then ER Monday. I hope my linning gets fluffy and perfect!

Hartbaybe- Thanks! Sounds like you have some good follies! My ER was kinda terrible, but partially because they didn't have me drugged well enough and I woke up in the middle of it, they also got 25 eggs. Start drinking gatorade and/or pedialyte, that has helped me a lot. Good Luck!

Leah- Good Luck at your appointment!

Gretchen- It sounds like things are progressing well, you still have over a week to get your lining where it should be right?

Have a great day all!!!

Kim - yeah I should have a good 13-15 days still to work on my lining!
I wish there was like an exercise I could do to help.
Sorry your ER was so bad.

Gretchen, thanks. Um...you could try kegel exercises, but don't really think it would do much. Lol. I'm pretty sure I would have been sore either way with OHSS, just made it worse that I woke up and was moving around with a giant needle sucking eggs off my ovaries. It's all worth it though!

RE called me. E2 was 198 (not even sure what that means)
I continue on my lupron and Delestrogen and estradiol all the same doses. I have to go back Sunday (Easter) for next u/s and blood draw.
The are "thinking" ER will be April 6 and transfer 3-5 days afterwards. OMG- I am to scared to be hopeful.

Gretchen, hope is all we have. Hang in there. Hugs.

I'm having a totally off day today. Feeling down and depressed. My mood is all over the place- and ended up having a giant argument with DH.

Hope I get out if this funk soon

Hartbaybe, the retrieval itself wasn't painful, but I was bloated and very tender for a couple days after. I didn't have near as many eggs as you had though. Stock up on gatorade and colace! So excited for you! Good luck with trigger tomorrow night!

Gretchen, my lining was 2.9A the other day, and today was 4.1B. That was 8 days apart, and I had a 3 day period in between those! So I'm sure your lining will be just perfect and fluffy by the time you have your transfer, and acupuncture helps too, and I know you are going Glad your meds are going well and you don't have to up any dosages! The nurse said that A lining has 3 endometrial stripes, B has 2, etc...

Grace, hang in there girl! I am on day 5 of stims and they told me I'd be doing around 9-10 days of stims possibly. Everyone is different and some women they like to stim slow, some fast, and some women just create bigger follicles faster than others. They know with your estrogen draws how you are doing. Follicles usually do not ovulate until they are around 19+...if you're only at 12's you are doing just fine ((HUGS))

Aimee & Tarheel, how are you feeling? ? ? Any testing going on ?????? (PLEASE?) haha

Kim, I can't believe you woke up ((HUGS)) Good luck on your repeat beta! Is it tomorrow?

AFM, I think I'm getting a UTI, seriously? I haven't had one in OVER 8 years and it decides to make a showing now? I've been very uncomfortable all day, chugging water and cranberry juice. Waiting for reg Dr. to confirm UTI through culture and then they will call in antibiotics for me. I'm praying this is what it is and not another kidney stone. I sometimes get this feeling when I get one. I do not need that now! So stupid. I feel like my body is trying to sabotage this cycle! LOL

But I do have good news re follies! Last time I only had 4 follies at this appt with Mallory, but today I had:

R - 12, 11, 10, 9.5
L - 8.5, 8, 8

and smaller ones on each side. I'm SUPER happy about this!! I go back Friday for another U/S and bloodwork. I start my Ganirelix and one vial of Menopur tomorrow night.

Kayakr-I was so thrilled when both the RE and ivf coordinator told us great things about our donor. We had left a gift for her on her retrieval day and our RE said she was really touched by it. Get hopeful-you are allowed!

Stillwaiting-I'm so sorry you might be getting a uti! I pray it is not a kidney stone. Great news on your follies! Can't wait to hear how much bigger they are by friday!

AFM-Sorry-Have not tested. Tomorrow is my beta. I'm seriously terrified to test before and I'm terrified for the call. Can't decide if I'm going to answer or listen to the message. I think I've officially lost it. Frantic, panic etc.

Now I'll make you laugh. The coordinator said she was very funny and had a great sense of humor and that made us feel really good. So, we took advantage of the season and put some chocolate eggs in the tiffany bag as well. Eggs from us. She loved it!
