Now that IVF is really happening, this is making my mind race! Anyone have any names they LOVE? I lent my baby names book to a friend....who lives 2 hours away. I have no idea when I'm getting it back!

I like for Boys:

Miles, Milo, Guy, Eli (Eli has gotten so popular)

I like for Girls:

Daphne, Caliope, Amelia, Melaina (DH hates all of them, he makes scooby doo references to Daphne, or comments "let's split up and look for Shaggy") haha... DH likes Sequoia, Dakota, Cheyenne, Piper....none of which I totally love.

We had Mallory's name picked out years before we had her LOL....

I am to scared to let myself think of this kind of stuff. It will make IVF not working even more devastating then it already will be.

I just has to work - Lord willing.

My favorites for boys are Hunter Logan and Dakota Lee, for girls I like Paige and Isabelle Jane. I try not to think about it too much, DH wont talk to me about names other than he likes traditional names. Says that nine months is enough time to come up with names.

Leah, I’m trying to figure out how Caliope is pronounced, I’m horrible with names and phonics and I can’t figure out how to pronounce so it sounds like a name. I agree with you I really like Eli, but it’s way popular now.

My DH and I occasionally talk about names. With our DS, he didn’t want a junior, but wanted him to have his initials, so we went with that. So he wants, God willing, our next child to have the same initials, not sure if I’m going to agree with that, but if so the first name has to start with J, so far I have Journey, Jaelah, Jamiee, or Janaya….and no boys names….every time I hear a name that starts with J I think about if I like it or not….but we’ll see, maybe I should tell DH our second one should have my initials and start thinking of A names

MeeMee - we are thinking of doing this too! At first DH said he wanted a jr, but we were afraid that (with his family) it would be come "little C" (they have a history of doing this with other jrs in the family and I am not all about that!), but we are trying for a different middle initial - A. So far I have: Aaron, Alexander, Alec, Austin, Andrew... (His initials will spell Cam so that is what we will call him).

For girls, I like: Josephine Lillie (for my g-grandmothers), Susannah (for my mother), Kay (for his mother), Amelia, Emmalee, Madelynne, Kyleigh/Kiley, Mackenzie, Catelynn

For boys: Beckett, Declan, Jamey/Jameson, Malachi, Riley, Steven, Joseph (as a middle, his father), Michael (my father).

But really I don't LOVE any of those - I don't like names that are "too out there" but I also don't want super common either.

It's not a common name, it's pronounced KAL EYE OH PEE. do u watch Grey's Anatomy? It's Calli's full name. That is where i heard it. worried about pee nicknames though lol!

I love your initials idea!

I might only share the initials of the name we pick, instead of sharing the name this time. Hopefully I get the chance!

We want "M" names... Macie if its a girl - Marshall if its a boy so far are the top 2. But - if twins - Macie and Marshall seem funny together - Since Macy's is a dept store, and in chicago - it used to be Marshall Fields..

DH suggested Jackson - I was like - Ohhh - I like that - until he said we can call our kids to dinner. "MICHAEL - JACKSON" what a turd my husband can be!

I love the name "Cali" - and I immediatly thought of Greys Leah!

Brooke – I like how the initials will spell out the nickname Cam, that’s a pretty cool idea.

Leah - Ok, much pretty then I was thinking! Using the initials is both helpful and not, it gives you a way to narrow down the million options of names out there, but at the same time it limits the choice of some of the great names out there that doesn’t start with the letter you need.

Melissa – the new picture of the twins is so cute! They look great.

Gretchen, I LOVE the name Colton!

If we had another boy, he'd be Luke Allen. I like the name Nora Violet for a girl, but DH isn't fond of Nora. My new niece is named Allie Katherine...they call her Allie Kat
*Leah* likes this.

DH and I are not sharing our names (anymore) all the ones we have likes - for the 9 years we have been trying- when we mention them they are all stolen..... But I do have a fun little thing to share :-) we are set on a boy and girl name (and of course if we get twins we have two of each names we love) but we aren't going to find out the sex of the baby(ies) and in the delivery room, we are going to tell this to the dr well before hand so he doesn't slip on any gender verifications :-) but when s/he is born, DH is going to tell me WHO has finally arrived not what. Something to look forward too. And then to tell our parents who is finally here, we are goin to have beanies made with each name that we like, and when we find out who s/he is and when they are introduced to Grandmas and grandpas they will have the beanie on :-) fun deal huh. I'm super excited!

Oh and ps I love all names and the ones you all have mentioned are adorable!
