My area sucks. I can't do 90min each way. As it is this is an hour each way.

I am 36yo wishing I was under 35yo now
Would you use this clinic? Is your clinic the similar? Am I expecting too much?

Lucy - I think the stats are important but I also think the care is important too. There are a lot of clinic with bad stats and it's because they take people that no one else will. Here are the stats for my clinic and they suck too. I would do some research on the embryologist at this clinic. That is what I did. 2011 stats suck for my clinic but they have a new embryologist and their stats for 2012 are really good but not published yet.

I remember you discovering that and so thats why I was trying to find decent stats....
How do I research the embryologist?
I did see on the sight that they don't "reject" patients from poor test results so that could be part of it.
They are not horrible. I just wish I had a 50% chance y/k?

I got the embryologist name and researched the heck out of him. I found out where he worked before and checked those clinic's stats. They were both 40% which seems to be the standard. I have been to my clinic the last 6 days out of 7 and I can't image traveling 90 minutes each way to do that. This process is draining enough on me and if I was missing work and having drive time like that on top of everything I don't think I'd be handling it to well.

It can't hurt to go and check it out. If you go and hate it then don't go. You have to go on your gut - remember sometimes that is all we have is our guts and hope that this stuff works. You will know once you go there and have a few appointments or cycles if that is where you want to stay. If you decide the one farther away is where you need to be then you will be at peace with it while you have to drive there. I had to go to both of the clinics in my area and I suppose that is why I have peace about where I decided to stay for this IVF and I will have that peace that we made that right decision if it works or not.
