Before BFP and IVF insurance paid for no medication. Now that I got a BFP they are paying for the PIO and Crinon but not the Delestrogen. I need more Delestrogen now and it's $198.00.

Question 1 - Is anyone still on Delestrogen after a BFP?

Question 2 - Is your medication covered now that you have a BFP?

1. Yes, I was on Delestrogen until I hit the 12-weeks pregnant mark.

2. My insurance was supposed to pay for nothing. The clinic where I did my monitoring doesn't even accept my insurance, but my RE filed my PIO and Delestrogen with insurance and they paid it all. I have no idea why, but I didn't argue

Some insurances will pay for things once you are pregnant if your doctor codes it as being early pregnancy related...you might ask the billing person at your RE about how they code it and if there is any way that they can code it so that it will be covered?!?

I did ask RE's office that. They are coding that I am pregnant now and that I need all the medicine to stay pregnant. Insurance is covering everything but the Delestrogen now. So weird - I need it also till 12 weeks.

Staff told me they had an unused bottle I could have. Totally jumping on that one!

Crinone is $ 500.00 and now they are paying it 100% now that I have a BFP.

I had to get prior authorization for the progesterone, once I had my BFP. My RE typically only has you on PIO for the first 8 weeks, but mine was low so he had me continue PIO and added prometrium. I have to send in paperwork now and will get it reimbursed since I paid for it. Maybe call the insurance and ask... good luck!

I'm not pregnant, but my insurance doesn't pay for the delestrogen either. It's not a covered drug. But estradiol in pill form is... So weird. Maybe check with your RE and see if you can switch to something else that is covered.
