HopingForBaby- I do acupuncture once a week and LOVE it. It's a great break and super relaxing. I used to go a acupuncture clinic and were ok, but now I go to a fertility acupuncture specialist and it's amazing, but pricey. The needles and are tiny and nothing like the IVF needles.

I just got notice that I get to trigger tonight and have my Retrieval Thursday. Cannot wait to see how many fertilize!

Hi Hoping for Baby! I do acupuncture weekly and love the deep sleep/mini naps from it...I find it definitely lowers my stress level. Not to mention it's reported to help support your body for better quality eggies! I don't even feel the needles...they're super small and don't go in very deep at all.

AFM = 15dp5dt = hcg is now 350, still rising (it was 250 on 13dp5dt)....but still slower than they would hope. Retesting this Friday. Argh! Even after a BFP there's more waiting?!?! I have been a nervous wreck the past few days...Sorry to vent so much! :-P

Caliteacher--welcome! Your story sounds exactly like mine! #1 (now 6yr) was conceived naturally. Then we were diagnosed with MFI and used IVF to conceive #2 (now almost 20 mo old). We are going back for 1 more. I have already had changes to my calendar twice this cycle and have had to rearrange 3 different days at work. Oh the stuff we do! Best of luck to you on Thur!!

Tamara--sorry for all the waiting...keep thinking positive!!!

Can't remember who asked...for my FET my doctor has me sitting on estrogen and lupron right now. My lining didn't look great and I had a mini-period. So we postponed the transfer for a couple weeks. He said just keep doing the estrogen and lupron. Not great to be delayed but he made it seem easy to manipulate the timing.

Leah--getting closer!

Sorry for those I missed. Hope everyone's meds are treating them ok.

Hi Lucy- I do not have a protocol... So I am just guessing... But I am thinking that I will have my ER/ET next week sometime. That means that I will be due in July for a singleton or late June for Twins!
I am on my 5th day of stims...

So yesterday morning I did an hpt which came out positive after it sat for a while. The Answer test strips do tend to take a while. Then I tried a Clear Blue easy in the afternoon which also had a very tiny positive, but you could definately see it. Today I did the Clear Blue & First Response 7 both of them were less than yesterday. I guess I could assume to different things from this: 1. my HCG trigger shot is still fading away or 2. a little one started to implant & then it didn't work out. I am now 4 days past a 3 day transfer, 7 days past retreival & 8.5 days past trigger. What do you all think?

Jill...I think it's the trigger. If you tested yesterday, you would only be 3dp3dt? That is really soon to get a positive. My trigger didn't leave my system until 5dp3dt each time and I got a negative on that day...then the next day had a faaaaiiint positive...keep testing and post pics!!

Melissa! Your twins have different bdays? FUN! GOOD LUCK

Amber, your protocol is also what meds you are on currently, as well as your schedule What meds are you doing?...sounds like your retrieval is coming close...best of luck...how many follicles do you have currently??? GOOD LUCK

Lucy, yay for baby cuddles! I'd be due July 22nd if I get preggers this cycle

Katie - good luck...waiting it out sucks, but you want the best environment!!

AFM I had my baseline today and I have 2<10 on my right and 4<10 on my left Same as last time. I had 6 at baseline and retrieved 11. Praying I get that many or more.

My thyroid seems large according to my Dr. ....but my tests came back at 1.95, within normal range, so as long as my bw looked okay today, I start meds Saturday Regular Dr wants to do a scan of my thyroid, just to make sure....

Question: - because we have a failed IVF and a failed FET, they will allow us to transfer 3 embryos on day 3 or 2 embryos on day 5. - Would you transfer 3? On one hand, I've transferred 2 (3 times) and got pg with Mallory, M/c at 9w and had a chemical, so I've not gotten pg with twins any of those times....is 3 embryos too chancy? I'm okay with twins, but triplets? HMMMMMM But I do want the best chance possible....I'm torn and DH is too. We're going to discuss it more tonight, but wanted your thoughts...

I would deffinitely do 2 blasts. Hands down.

And yes, the twins were born a half hour apart, but just over the midnight cusp lol.

Kaden came out easy around 11:37 pm, but Trystan was the bigger twin and he would not present himself properly, and his cord got in the way!! So they had to switch to a c section.

Needless to say, our insurance has had one heck of a time trying to understand how we had 1 vaginal birth on 6/22, and one c section on 6/23 lol

Looks good....looks real, real good! (Love this quote from Steel Magnolias!)
Glad to see everyone is progressing well. I love this time of our IVF cycles, where we're all so optimistic and happy. It's the agonizing wait that puts me in a foul mood. I would rather take shots every hour than wait for results.

Leah, I just wanted to chime in with thoughts on your dilemma. I was in the *exact* same quandry a few weeks ago. They recommended I put back three due to my age, but I was terrified of both twins or triplets, so I only put back two. I regret not putting back that third embryo, because it could have been the one that stuck. Of course hindsight is 20/20. I will definitely be putting back 3 day three or 2 day 5 embies this go around. Good luck with your decision!!

My husband took a picture and posted it on facebook, and I could have killed him for it,lol. I'm feeling much better...still crappy but feeling very blessed. The babies are so active now....almost comical, but I'm wondering how bad it will be when they get bigger.

On another note, I love my husband, but I feel like killing often. He is so opinionated on everything that comes to these babies. Every name I like...he hates because it sounds like a strippers name. He wants an old, classical name because she will be his princess and needs a princess name. The name is not the only thing we can't agree on. Help, lol

Tamara - I really hope your betas start doing what they're supposed to - Hang in there!

Melissa - That has got to be one of the most unique birth stories ever - love it!

Jill - I would guess that's probably trigger too.

Leah - That is really tough. I would say you have to be willing to live with either having triplets, or selective reduction, if you transfer three. I'm sure the chances are minuscule, but I think you have to be prepared just in case, you know?

Not much to report here. Having some cramps, but nothing I haven't experienced before. PIO shots have gotten much better - I've been able to walk mostly without pain every day this week!

Jenny lee... So glad the PIO shots are better.
Tamara... I also hope the betas will rise and put you at ease!
Melissa... The birthdays are awesome! Are they on different astronomical cusps too??
Leah... Hmmm hard decision. My doc posts videos about this kinda thing ccivf.com and look at his last few videos. Locally he is known as a genius! I don't know what I would do... I'm having trouble too bc my doc does 3 day transfers and the RE I was going to switch to does 5, so I'm confused too about what to do if I need to continue on this journey!

As for me... Almost chickened out but I didn't and I went and did the accupuncture today! She put a bunch in my back while I was in my side and out some in my legs. She said she places the needles depending on where you are in your cycle. It didn't hurt but I swear, as soon as they were all in, I felt relaxed. It did help that her wall was COVERED with thank you notes from successful IVFers and baby pics!

I'm due for AF in 10 days, then I start my protocol! Estrace beginning on day 2 or 3 then continuing for 14 days. Doc may try to keep me on estrace for 21 days (timing issues with work... I work in the schools and ideal due date for me is Sept, so as close to that in Aug as possible). As of right now, I'm thinking I'd transfer around the 12th-19th of November. I'm wondering if I can go on the pill for 2 weeks or so to push til the last part of November, but not sure. What do you guys think?

Hope everyone had a great day! So glad to be a part of our group, but I wish it was as easy for us as it is for others :-/ xoxo
