Jenny- When is your U/S?

Leah- Do not worry too much! They only saw 16 and there were 27 in me! They could just be hiding! And maybe ALL 4 are exactly PERFECT and will be able to get frozen! When is your retrieval? Maybe they can up your Menopur. They upped mine and I was taking 5 vials. (3 powder and 1 water + 2 powder and 1 water)

Good Luck Jill!!! I am rooting for you!

Maratapat- I am waiting to hear my fert report results and going crazy! I can only imagine how much of a wreck I am going to be during my 2WW. Try not to worry too much! I can't wait to hear your results! Have you tried to take a HPT yet?

CaliTeacher! I am excited to hear your news too!!!

Hi all, I am new and I've been reading some of your threads for support and info. I am 28 and am in my 2ww and I'm going nuts! This is my first IVF. My hubby had testicular cancer in 2008. Fortunately he is free and clear, but his count is extremely low, after ttc for 2 years and 2 failed IUIs we decided IVF was our only chance at having a family. I was lucky to have 21 follicles on my day of retrieval, 11 fertilized, 2 were 5 day transfer and 6 frozen... Transfer was on oct 22nd and I've been feeling all sorts of things going on with my body. I did hyper stimulate after retrieval, and could barely move... My dr said it would get worse if I was pregnant, but I've been feeling much better since and I'm afraid that may be bad news... What can I expect during my 2ww and what should I not pay attention to? Please help!
Welcome Martapat! You have a great number of eggs. I am not sure how your hyper stimulation will affect the 2WW symptoms but the trigger shot has a large impact on "feeling pregnant" - or at least it did for me. When my trigger shot started to ware off I felt less and less symptoms & then began to feel them again as one of the little guys was trying to implant. I must have had a chemical pregnancy though as hpts gave faint lines toward the end but never really became darker. My blood test was neg.

Everyone is different with the symptoms & as I said, much of it is from the trigger shot & other hormones you take once the transfer is done. It is said that about after day 11 most people have the trigger shot out of the bloodstream & implantation is not usually started until at least after day 7 from retrieval. Symptoms really run the gammet depending on your med's & how your body reacts to pregnancy. I'm sending prayers & crossing my fingers for you.

Amber- that's great news!!!! Great numbers, keeping my fingers crossed for you!! I have not taken a HPT my dr said it will give a false answer due to the meds.. I'm still on Lovenox and progesterone, n I don't want to wreck my nerves more than they already are lol.

Jill- sorry for you BFN that must not be easy.. My trigger shot left me feeling crazy bloating, I couldn't walk, my liver was pushing up my diaphragm causing shooting pain in my right arm... Caused a dry cough n blahhh.. It's definitely subsided now! My dr was hopeful that the hyperstim could help with a positive result. I was feeling AF cramps last night n didn't want to think too much about it... Taking it one day at a time!
My prayers go out to you! :*

I got a faint line today on my pregnancy test! Trying not to get too excited, as I know it's too early. It's 9 days past retreival and only 4 days past transfer. I know it's not the trigger shot though bc I've been testing for the past few days and it's been negative. Feeling soooo anxious. Enough already. I just want to know!?!

Amber - that is sooooo exciting! Keep us in the loop. We are all pulling for each other in here!!!!

Jenny, how are you feeling!?!?

Leah, how are you and any new news about the follies?

Jill, how are you holding up!? Ready to start again I hope!

Marta- hoping things go your way. I know of someone who was hyper stimulated and it was successful but don't know the details...

Cali - post pics of these tests lady!

Melissa, your transfer is coming soon too! Yay!

AFM, I started my meds today. Nothing injectable yet. On estrace orally and via suppositories for at least 14 days, changing my dose every few days. A little worried about how I am going to feel on this. I can tell you though, I've had an overwhelming sense of calm lately and I'm wondering if it's the acupuncture. If you can't tell from posts and the fact that I make 100 typos from my speedy typing, I am a fast paced high strung person, so I feel pretty fantastic and wonder if this is bc of the acupuncture!

Wishing everyone a happy Saturday and lots of well wishes to all. Thinking of ALL of you!

Mara- Thank You! I am hoping for BFP for you
Hoping- Yes... The support in here is AWESOME! I wish the best for each other. Plus all of the emotions are the same.
The clinic called me last night about Assisted Hatching... We decided not to do it. As it is just being suggested to every patient, not recommended for us. They also told me that the ET would be Tuesday... So... Just waiting again.
XOXOX Baby Dust everywhere!
YAY For Cali!!!

Amber - my friend just told me about the assisted hatching! I didn't know what it was. Idk what we will do with that. Yay for your Tuesday transfer.

Cali - so excited for you!!!!!!

Leah- We would transfer two if we can. I have no clue about how many they will thaw. We have 8 (6 frozen immediately and 2 at stage 5 and 6). My guess is going to be all 6 of them frozen immediately. Since they don't all typically survive a thaw and we only have 6 that were frozen immediately, it just may make sense for us. What do you think?

I don't know. I'm still really concerned about the 3 day v 5 day thing. My friend who did a FET (and was successful) transferred an 8 cell and a morula at 3 days. She is pregnant with a singleton. I'm hoping that maybe one can get beyond 8 cells to a morula stage. Maybe I can do a 4 day transfer (if that exists) but hubby says just stop thinking and let them instruct us.

Happy Sunday!

Stillwaiting- Thanks for the info about uploading pics. I tried to add one last night. I used the HTML code fr photobucket and when I pressed reply it said the moderator had to approve my message?

Hoping- I'm sure you won't stop thinking about which eggs to use, but I would assume your RE would just tell you what they recommend. I would trust them.

As for my faint positive yesterday afternoon...I tested again this morning and no more faint line Just a negative. I know it's early and my RE said NOT to test before my beta blood test, but I'm going crazy waiting. I was really hoping the line would be darker this morning. Maybe I should wait another couple days....

Hoping, Will they let them grow a couple days in the lab? I've never done a transfer like that, so I'm not sure. I only ask because it only takes an hour or so to thaw them, and if you started with the 5&6 and they looked ok, you could transfer them and save the others for another time. -- But if they thaw and have to let the others grow, then I'm sure they'd pick the best by whichever transfer day they chose for you IF they do not watch them grow, they might thaw them 2 at a time (depends how they froze them in the straw) and they can always thaw more if those don't make it. Wishing you the best

Cali, depending on how hydrated you are, test numbers are SO low right now, they can come and go...you're DEF not out yet. Keep testing and hope you can post pics...you need to post the IMG code, not the HTML...ifyou don't have many posts on the board, sometimes they need to be okayed by admin....

Amber - So many embryos! Yay!

Luh-Luh and Hoping - Congrats on getting started!

Cali - It's so early - don't lose hope!

Leah - So sorry you're disappointed, but one of those eggies is going to be the one!!

Sorry if I missed anything, I got a little behind over the weekend. I'm just cruising along, hoping everything is going well in there. I'm 4 weeks 5 days today, which is when my only other pregnancy stopped growing. I have an estrogen/progesterone check on Wednesday. My u/s is November 14th. I really really REALLY can't wait to see a heartbeat.
