Amy - your son is too funny. a great personality plus his good looks, you're going to be fighting the girls off of him!
i'm glad you & DH have a peace about his job. i'm sure nothing will happen since his employer is short handed & he has such high seniority.
DH & I got a watermelon @ sam's club today & it was amazing! i was so happy because the last one we got wasn't so great.
i hope i get to join the club with you girls! i can't wait

MissB- your story really touched me! i'm so happy for you & your parents. i think it's so cute that your mom bought clothes already. i hope my parents have the same reaction .
as for the sperm donor, thanks for chiming in. he never got back to me about compensation. i have a monitoring apt tomorrow & he has his check up as well. i wonder if we'll cross paths. i'm kind of hoping i don't run into him. i think it would be awkward. does that sound weird?

Baby- your video was SO sweet! it made me tear up a lil. i want to do the same thing if i get preggers!
i think 200 for the donor is fair, but i'm wondering if he'll ask for more? i agree with you that having a back up is priceless! especially since he's a much better option than the donors from the website. i don't know how to tell him we're broke so please don't gouge us.

AFM- they had to split up my appts, my blood work is @ 8 & monitoring is @ 11:30. i'm curious if my estrogen is low since i was bleeding so much last week. i pray everything looks good tomorrow

HUGS to you Beauties!!!

I must be brief. I wanted to share our good news from the ultrasound today. But my phone is about to die and I need to let it charge. We are in fact having twins!! Baby A is on the top of the pic had 119 hr 7mm and Baby B is 6 mm 113 hr. everyone looks like they are in good places... Baby B was high up though so hard to see. The heartbeats caused my eyes to leak! We are so grateful and amazed! Thank you for letting me share!

Hey Girls

today didn't start out as planned.

our donor never showed up for his appointment . my lining was thin, probably from the bleeding. we had 12 follies that were all around the same size. so that's good, i think , i hope.

i woke up with a UTI this morning. our nurse would not write an RX for it even though she did for DH last cycle. my PCP can't get me in until thursday so DH & i went to 3 quick cares to get a RX. we finally found one that did not have a 3 hour wait. it set us back another 120.00

ughh today is kinda rough. i'm praying tomorrow is better

so our donor finally made It to give a sample. the clinic called us about 4:40 to tell us it was poor quality. they advised us not to use it as poor quality sperm doesn't thaw well. the nurse then asked us if we wanted to tell him about his sperm or have the clinic call. I thought it would be better coming from a medical professional, that way if he has questions they could answer them. he sent us this text msg right before 5 & said he was so disappointed because he tried to help us & how the clinic told him we found a better option. he felt we used him & them discarded him. I called him & told him we don't have any other options & we did not tell that to our clinic. after that was smoothed over he asked us for 200, then 150.00. I felt it was high to pay him that much since we couldn't use his sperm & we had to pay 235.00 semen analysis. DH said it was fair so we paid him via paypal. i'm so sad that we've paid so much for donor sperm so far but we don't have any back up donor sperm .

i'm sorry to vent, im just so bummed!

April...WOW! I'm not sure what else to say but wow! I'm so sorry you're going through all of this! I know that in the end it will all work out as God has it planned. It's just rough understanding His plan sometimes. I'll continue to pray for you all! Sending lots of hugs your way!! As for my son, I already fight the girls off him. Only one of my kids isn't all about girls and that's Joey (the 16 year old). He's much more interested in his academics. Thank God! Glad you got a decent watermelon. Guess what I just ate??

Liyana, good to hear from you. I'm doing well. All is going smoothly with the pregnancy as far as I know. I'm doctor free until June 17th. So weird to not be going every few days or couple of weeks.

AFM, I've been running myself crazy ragged all week and it's going to continue on through the weekend!! Family stuff Sunday and Monday. Then yesterday, I worked on housework and laundry, went to another city to my other sister-in-law's to pick up a freezer my mother-in-law was buying from my brother-in-law, Sam's Club to get stuff for my son's graduation cookout, my friend's house to get more baby stuff she was giving us, home to put all this up and cook supper. By supper, I had a migraine and took meds and crashed out for the night. Today, laundry caught up and then went with the hubby to get parts for some farm equipment and then sat outside with him for 4 hours while he repaired his Mom's shop door and the hay tetter, ran and picked up my youngest's baseball uniform since it came in, home for supper. Fixing to iron my son's graduation gown and then prepare enough hamburger patties for 50+ people for Saturday's cookout and freeze those. Tomorrow I get to run to the middle school for my youngest's awards ceremony, home to do my oldest's cookie cake for Saturday and then to a double header baseball game in a neighboring county for the youngest son. Friday, hair appointment, grocery store, home to make the tea and lemonade and kool-aid for Saturday and then off to watch my oldest son graduate high school. Saturday, drop off the youngest at the ball park for another double header ball game, out to the church to decorate and then my son's cookout. We'll have overnight guests who won't leave until sometime Sunday afternoon. So, with all that being said, please don't anyone think I'm ignoring you. It's just going to be crazy insane busy!!!! Hope everyone has a great upcoming week!

Let me tell you, there's NO energy!!! I fall asleep almost instantly when we get in the car to go somewhere or come back from somewhere. That alone is an accomplishment. I was in a bad car wreck in 2007 (broken hip, screws now holding an ankle together and an emergency parking brake pedal through my left leg), was sent via life flight to a trauma hospital, spent 9 days there with 3 surgeries. I haven't been able to even THINK about dozing off in the car since.....until now! I'm asleep almost instantly! I have already declared next Monday as "Mom isn't doing a dang thing so don't even think about asking it!!" day!!

Amy you are soooo busy! Make sure you are taking care of yourself in that long list of things to do!

April, oh sweetie! I feel so bad, giving you a big virtual hug. You and your DH are amazing strong people for going through this. Are there any last minute sperm options from any banks. You just dont want this cycle to be a waste. Keep having DH drink lots of water, maca powder, and keep "the boys" nice and loose. Anything for a last minute miracle right!

ASM, I'm doing well. Trying to walk daily but its been cold and rainy. Starting to see that bump getting bigger though! I have my first OB appointment Friday, I'll be 8 weeks 5 days. Just getting anxious for at least that 10 week mark to hit so we can start telling close friends. It's hard keeping such a big secret!

MissB, after 18 years of being a Mom, I often forget to take care of me. The kids are doing great about reminding me!

And now, I absolutely have to brag!! My youngest thought he was just getting an A/B Honor Roll Award today. Instead, he ended up with two awards!! 2nd place in reading/drama (for his teacher for all of her classes combined) and 1st place in advanced p.e. (for his teacher for all of his classes)!! Proud Mom!!!

Oh yes, ear to ear. So proud of that kid. In elementary school it was a battle every day. He hit middle school and he's all about the grades. Next school year, he's a freshman in high school. Tonight us high school graduation for my oldest. I cry every time I think about it!! Not sure how I will get through tonight. Not just the tears and hormones but we have to get in line around 5:15 or so for the doors to open at 6 and it to start at 7. It's the largest graduating class in the history of the school with more than 450 kids. Last year at my nephew's with only 350 something it took 3 1/2 hours. We are literally looking at it being between 11 and midnight before it's over. First off my bladder isn't going to go for that. Secondly my back is going to yell loudly about the bleachers. Thirdly if it's like last year and hot in there (how can it not be with that many people in a gym?) I will be sweating like crazy. I'm wondering how much of my clothing I can take off before they throw me out. Poor DH got little sleep last night because we didn't get home from baseball games until after 11pm and he has to get up for work at 3am. Tonight will be the same. I'm going to try hard to not complain about being tired. Well on to a jam packed busy and emotional day. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Ok, I'm a complete emotional basket case and I can't even blame it on the pregnancy hormones. I just watched my oldest son graduate from high school. It's such a bittersweet moment. I'm incredibly proud of him and at the same time, I'm incredibly sad that he's not that little boy who needs Mama to fix everything for him any more.

Amy- congrats on your son graduating HS! I hope it wasn't too long & you weren't too uncomfortable. I think a ceremony that long would be hard or a regular person to get through, but you're doing that while preggers with twins! you're a champ. xo

Kristi- your twins are beautiful! thanks for sharing your pics . iT gives me something to look forward to. I hope you're getting more energy after passing the 1st trimester. sending hugs

Liyana- it's almost your time!!!!

Afm- ive been having EWCM & it made me nervous that i ovulated early. i emailed my nurse & she said it's ok. monitoring tomorrow

April, I cut out all liquids at 3pm, went to the bathroom just before we walked out the door, as soon as we got upstairs in the gym to our seats I had to go again. Bathroom was downstairs. Sat there for almost an hour waiting for it to start and them made it through until the National Anthem. Back downstairs. Made myself make it through the rest of the ceremony. Hit the bathroom as soon as it was over and then again as soon as we got home! It was hot in there with so many people crammed in. Luckily they hurried through it. Wasn't too bad. Very bittersweet. My mother in law said something about next year (when my next one graduates) and the twins. I informed her I was sending them to a babysitter. No way am I taking them along and missing the ceremony like I saw so many people do who brought little ones who were crying because they were hot and tired.

I had a LOT of ewcm during my last cycle. Always worried me but she kept telling me that was a great sign. I know that technically it's possible to ovulate early but surely they would be more concerned if they thought that was the case. I definitely understand the worry that comes with having the ewcm. I didn't have it with my first cycle. Nothing went well that cycle but did on the cycle I had it so maybe it's a good sign! Yeah, I'm one of those who will try to find the positive whenever possible. Definitely keep us posted.

AFM it's 4:15am and I've been awake almost an hour. Didn't make it to sleep until after midnight. I think my subconscious is stressing over all on today's agenda. I've made lists upon lists and have everything lined up to go so I wish my brain would shut up already!! Especially since I do have to be up by 8am to get the youngest ready for his ball games. Ugh!!

Thanks for sharing your twins with us!! I adore these pics! Gives me something to look forward to. Right now my babes look like blobs! Lol although I could make out the head on one of them. Baby A is upside down with the head at the bottom. Heart rate 166 and baby B is at 171... Now B has the faster heart rate! Very competitive children already! Did any of you twin mom's watch the heart rates flip flop? Two more visits at the fertility clinic then week 11 will be w new ob.

April, I'm still thinking about you!
