I can finally join an ivf forum! And hopefully next it will be a due date club. I am so overwhelmed right now with meds, upcoming appointments, and mostly the huge needles. I really need to talk with people that understand what I'm going through because family and friends don't get it and are probably tired of hearing about it, so here I am

BabyMomma- Hi! It is my first time as well. I totally understand with the meds in needles! When I started sorting them all out I was totally overwhelmed (not to mention I am afraid of needles). I got used to it quickly. I am sure you will as well! I still hate the shots...but they are definitely more bearable!

Thanks angiepangie! I didn't get any instructions on anything so tomorrow I'm calling the office and making them go over every med and needle size. I am using gonal f, menopur, cetriotide, and then lupron and another med for trigger (can't remember the name of it)

And of course the wonderful progesterone in oil....

I noticed knots in the beginning with PIO, but I started massaging the areas and put some heat packs on them in short bursts and they went away...so far.

Hi BabyMomma!

My DH and I are in the midst of our first fresh IVF Cycle too! I totally 100% absoultely hear you on EVERY single one of your anxieties towards IVF. We are in the stimulation stage, I actually started taking shots Sunday night after my day 4 ultrasound- we have another one tomorrow morning, my worry is that somehow we've been fudging the shots up ( see anxiety! ) My DH is a huge help though , drawing up the meds and sticking the needles in my side ( makes me a little queasy thinking to do it to myself )

I sincerely hope your journey is a successful one , keep posting, vent, cry, laugh because , like I said, WE all get it, 100%

Best to you!

Thanks Scottiegirl! I am feeling a little more at ease now. I should be starting my stims in about a week and a half. I go for my screening ultrasound next week and will find out when I stop bcp and start stims. Hopefully we will both be getting good news within the next month or so

good luck ladies! I am going to be returning to do an FET sometime later this year (or early next year). We did IVF last February, with an FET in May. We finally got pregnant with twins and they were born Dec 20, 2013. We want to have another one and will be using one of our frozen embryos. I hope your cycles go well... and remember to relax!
