Ok so since I posted last.....I fly up to Beijing for a long weekend to hand out with troy before I left, then I left China and flew to USA (chicago) where I ran TONS of errands and then flew to las vegas and was there for a week (did great with food choices and exercise, bad with water and alcohol) then back to Chiacago this week-still running errands! I will be flying to Thailand in the next week.

But today I am starting a 7 day detox program to clean up my body for my (hopefully) up coming pregnancy. We start TTC when we see each other LOL. So I am doing the Renew Life Total Body Rapid Cleanse program. http://www.renewlife.com/cleansing/rapidcleanse.aspx

So I thought for anyone else thinking of doing a cleanse/detox that I would show what my week was like.
Daily regime for detox-powder with water once in AM and PM. AM-detox liver pills x2, PM detox colon pills x2. FYI-I take 3 prenatal vitamin pills a day and 2 prenatal DHA pills a day.

Allowed Foods:
Fresh Fruits/Vegetables
Fish
Free-range or organic Chicken and turkey
Eggs
Well-cooked grains: millet, buckwheat, amaranth, quinoa, spelt and teff (none of these I have ever heard of LOL)
Pasta made with above grains.
Essential fatty acids: flax oil, fish oil, borage oil
Butter
Raw almonds and seeds, raw almond butter

I will update throughout the day. I will be charting my OUTPUT to show what this is REALLY like. So be warned.

I always wondered what the detox plans were really like. I assumed people just pooped a ton and had a sick belly during it all. I really feel fine overall. The girl I am living with has a gluten allergy and eat VERY healthy so she is helping me with this. She detoxes twice a year. She said day 3-4 is the hardest since your body really dumps the junk then...but she SWEARS that everyone should do them twice a year and that she feels great when done.

I really can't wait to read all of your logs on this! Like you, I kind of assumed people would be clung to a toilet and feeling lightheaded and dizzy. But the only detoxs I'm familiar with are some kind of weird lemon water honey mixture and you don't eat. Yours sounds MUCH healthier, . I hope you keep up with your log...

Another of my concerns would be losing a bunch of weight in an unhealthy way and then packing it back on, kwim?

June 6th Friday (Day #2)

Input:

Powder/water drink (8oz water), 2 am pills

1st meal-organic oatmeal, prenatal vitamin, DHA pill, 8oz water

Snack-some raw almonds

2nd meal-6 slices of organic turkey, 3 leafs of organic romaine lettuce, 1/2 organic avocado, cup of raspberries and 1/2cup of blackberries and a small handful of raw almonds-i love almonds, water, prenatal vitamin, DHA pill

3rd meal-raspberries, blackberries, one slice of organic turkey (just wasn't hungry, I wasn't sick though)

PM drink/pills

Output:
#1-9
#2-2.5 (to little to count as one LOL) and two large semi-loose stool

Effects-
Darn I should have taken a picture of my body when I started this! My ankles were swollen from the alcohol and carbs i have done to the extreme the last week and a half. Today my ankles are normal-all swelling is gone! I am guessing thats why i peed so much yesterday i peed about the same amount of times but the amount was way up there! Today I am back to normal with peeing. I did get one zit-but i felt that coming on prior to starting. My CM hasn't changed with this program. Anything specific you guys want to know about?

I'm following this closely... since I'll be starting my own soon! My question is how are you feeling, and what other effects has it had (if any) on your body?

AM pills/powder with water
1st meal-not hungry so i didn't eat anything, water, vitmain, DHA pill
2nd meal- celery with peanut butter (don't think PB is allowed but I can't eat celery without it LOL)
3rd meal-pork chop stuffed with tomatoes and sage. and 2 cups of rasper berries, water, prenatal vitamins, DHA pill
PM pills/powder with water

Output:
#1-7
#2-1.5 (one lose stool)

Written at 2pm:
I don't feel any different really. I am surprised by this-i figured I would have stomach pains and be pooping all day and my heart would be pounding My stomach feels fine and my heart is normal also. My ankles/calves w ere pretty swollen after las vegas but now they are perfect (as perfect as cankles get LOL) My skin has broken out a little but nothing to odd.
I am getting excited and nervous about actually TTC so my appetite is less....i don't think that this detox has anything to do with that. I have been so busy that the nerves have been ok, I mainly just miss Troy

Written at 10pm:
Well i am now starting my herxheimer reaction (http://www.silver-colloids.com/Pubs/herxheimer.html) i am tired, my throat hurts some, and chills/sweating. Its totally normal and happens during a successful detox.....this is when people usually quit but when its doing the best work! They say it gets worse before it gets better, not looking for tomorrow.

I used to ONLY drink diet coke... haha... now I HAVE to have water!
