ok, so I tentatively started keeping track of what I was eating...and I exercised yesterday..
hmmm, remember I said exercising indoors was too boring?
Well, exercising outdoors, may just be TOO EXCITING...
let's see..so I wanted to swim in our little pool...and get some exercise...so I cleaned it out...and then I got ready to get in...my son was out there helping me...
and then the wind picked up, and the thunder roared...and the most I got wet out of that--was from the rain...lol...
sooooooooo...I was like, ok James after dinner mommy and you will go outside and momma will ride your bike and you can skate with me...and he was excited...
so we headed out...wellllll, the bike tires didn't have too much air in them...which causes it to be TAD more resistent to being ridden...but I was like..sure I can handle that...
then we went up a huge hill...and I had to walk it up there..and then we had to go up another huge hill...and I was puffing...and then we had to go DOWN a huge hill...and I was SCARED...
so we parked the bike...I still wasn't done...
I said ok James let's go get momma's roller skates on..and we'll try it with roller skates...
hmmm...so then we went up a hill...and it was laborious...and we got to go down the hill...well, I was supposed to turn to go back home...and he turned just fine on his roller blades, but I didn't have the gumption to turn...so I went speeding past our turn down another hill..I flew past a family sitting outside who had been watching the whole thing...and they were LAUGHING...I shouted...
"I COULDN'T TURN!" and they laughed harder...
"I can turn now, though" and I almost expertly maneuvered a pretty turn..and headed right back for the hill I had been scared to down on the bike...but I made it? how hard could it be?
"I DON'T THINK I CAN DO THIS!" I holler down to James...
James called to me "come on mom, start moving your skates slowly"
I was like "ok, he got down there. I can do this."
I looked down the hill..and said no big deal..when I get to the bottom I will just turn my skates..and make that turn...
so I started down the hill, and I began rolling at a decent speed...
"see, no big deal..." I thought
and then I was RACING DOWN THE HILL, SCREAMING, WITH MY KNEES LOCKED, WITH MY LIFE FLASHING BEFORE MY EYES...thinking..I am going to have to crash to stop cause I CAN NOT TURN the wheels without going head over heels....
I didn't want to crash into a vehicle..so I spotted some grass, I knew it would slow the wheels down so I would eventually stop..but I kept trying to find a way to crash without hitting my head or neck...so I headed for the green...and sure enough...about 2 feet on the green grass, my skates wiped completely from underneath me and sent me flying backwards with my feet in the air..and my nice cushiony butt...hit the ground...
as soon, as I realized the most injured thing on me was my butt, I erupted into laughter..albeit my muscles were shaking with shock...
I got up and started skating to our trailer, laughing the whole way...I could hear my SO and his friend who had stopped by to see us....they were laughing...
"Are you alright, honey?" Tay asks me...
I'm still laughing like a hyena..." I try to explain the whole thing...yeah like they needed it close captioned...
"I was so SCARRREEED" I whined...
Tay looks at me "I was scared for you too...especially when you disappeared from our view...from our angle we just saw you come flying down the hill screaming..and then you disappeared, I was waiting to see if James went rushing to your side, hollering 'mom are you alright??'
I am sweating so profusely and my legs are shaking...I climb out of the skates...and head straight for the kiddy pool for a quick cool down...
and then I swam with my son doing little exercises for about 30 minutes...
so I had some excitement with exercise...but it was worth it...
note to self: walk on the grass down huge hills with roller skates on--
air up tires on bike, before trying to ride it up a hill.
