I'm making it official...I'm starting tomorrow! I need all the support I can get to make it stick this time, so please feel free to comment

Here's a quick summary of my plan:

Healthy lifestyle changes:

Lose 20 pounds and then maintain my goal weight until baby.
Stick to my calories per day (not counting fruits and vegetables).
Eliminate white flours and sugar. Reduce processed foods.
Eliminate caffeine (for my own sake!) and reduce alcohol.
Get as much physical exercise as possible.
Continue taking multivitamins and calcium supplements.

Three months before we start TTC:

Switch to prenatal vitamins.
Start folic acid supplements.

And for DB...start a multivitamin including adequate zinc (15 mg), calcium (1,000 mg) and vitamin E.

I'll cheer you on!!! That plan sounds great and not too hard to follow. I think the downfall for many people when they start to make changes is they set the bar way too high and just disappoint themselves right off the bat. Those goals sound so perfect for you to keep up with!

: cheer:

xo,
Your personal cheerleader.

simply_nana - Sure! How are you doing?

Christen - Thank you

So...yesterday was an okay beginning. I ended up having a slice of stadium pizza for dinner, because I didn't have a chance to eat before going to the hockey game and there wasn't much selection available. But no biggy.

I ate SO well today up until about 3:30 pm. Then I just FELL apart. I feel awful about it. I'm going to jump right back on track tomorrow. Please send me willpower dust!

Today was a VERY bad day. Emotionally, I felt like crap...I ate like crap...and I got no exercise.

I'm going to take a deep breath, and put it behind me. Tomorrow is a new beginning.

So the 5th, I pretty much recuperated from the 4th What a waste of a weekend!

I've had two great days so far. Food has been good, and J and I have been taking walks

My focus has really slipped these past few days I'm going to get back on track tomorrow!

I really need to go clothes shopping, so I'm going to try to find time to do that next week.

Wow! your plan sounds great! I recently did the same changes to my diet. i switched from whit bread, pasta, rice to whole wheat EVERYTHING! I eat salad with lunch and dinner...kinda fills me so i dont over eat on carbs/starches. I walk every day. and i started taking things out of my diet. I havent had chips in about 2 months, i havent had crackers (veggie crackers) in about 3 weeks, havent had cupcakes, brownies, in a couple months...But i allow myself fat free ice cream or frozen yogurt once in a while...so far so good...i'm only 4 1/2 lbs away from my goal weight! i found what helped is not having a goal DATE. then i felt too much pressure...

Good for you! I've lost 40 pounds on this plan before, so I know that it works

I went clothes shopping today, and found this GORGEOUS dress. It's red, corset style and HOT. After like half an hour of trying it on , I decided that I just wasn't ready to wear it. However, I'm going back to buy it asap, and I'm going to hang it in PLAIN sight to keep me motivated to get to my goal!

I can't wait to wear it!!

Update on me...

I haven't been successful at sticking to my plan. I'm starting over May 10.
