Ok, so Michelle pointed out that I should join here because I truly want to lose weight and get in better shape. I'm not going to log my weight all the time because I don't own a scale and frankly it's disappointing when I see the numbers.

Before DS, I was 146. I use to think that was too fat for me! I would LOVE to be that weight again. And I was, 2 months after he was born. But I have found myself back at 165. I want to be 145-146.

My biggest downfall is snacks. I take DS for walks alot and especially now that he's crawling, I burn energy all the time. So you say, "well, Morgan, just don't buy the snacks and bring them in the house!" It's simple, I have NO willpower. I crave sweet things. Candy is a big weakness. At one point, it probably would have been cheaper to just hook me up to a Dr. Pepper IV!

So I want to get into shape and feel better about myself. I have major baby belly and hate the CONSTANT muffintop I have over my jeans. I want to gradually "wean" myself from my bad eating habits, starting with Dr. Pepper. I haven't had a soda in 8 days, and that feels like a huge deal to me! They say if you do it long enough it becomes habit right? So I've told myself no soda unless we go out to eat. We went out to lunch today, and no soda!

I think it is really awesome you have gone that long without a soda! I too have no willpower when it comes to sweets. I have these cookies and . . . anyways, that is a great step

Sweets and soda are my weaknesses too. I LOVE chocolate covered cherries and Andy has a big box of them sitting by our bed... along with 2 different types of Hershey Kisses and Andes Mints, ughhh! I know what you mean about the muffin top. I have this little pouch at the bottom of my tummy and I swear it looks like Adam Sandler from the movie Click where he shakes his tummy flab everywhere I call it my kangaroo pouch LoL. Anyway, good luck Morgan

Good luck!! I know it's hard to stay away from sodas and sweets...but eventually your body will get used to not having it and it will get easier... My willpower sucks when it comes to bread...and I haven't had bread in 14 days and I am not craving like I used to...except when I go into Wal-Mart and smell Subway.

HAHA! Lisa, I call mine my kangaroo pouch too!

You are awesome for giving up soda! I haven't gotten there yet. Giving up smoking and alcohol were my big things and I'm not ready to give up my soda yet!

Good for you Morgan! Way to go on the soda - kicking the soda *and ADDING WATER* will go along way in getting in shape!
