I have been running for about a year and a half now. I'm currently training for the Pittsburgh Marathon in May 2010. Unfortunately, my diet is holding me back from getting down to 'ideal' running weight and I'm not happy with how I look either. I'm planning to use the Body For Life diet plan and continue to follow my marathon training plan as well as cross training several times a week. I will take measurements and post pictures once DBF leaves for work and DD is in bed!
Starting Weight:
12/1/09 - 143 lbs
Exercise for the day:
8 mile trail run with my puppy
Calories consumed: ~1,278
Calories burned: ~1,080
Measurements:
Neck: 12 5/8"
Chest (around BB's): 36 1/2"
Chest (around ribs): 31 1/2"
Waist: 30"
Hips: 36 3/4"
Thigh (4" above knee): 18 1/4"
Calf: 13 3/4"
Pictures:
Front:
Side:
Back:
I'm not going to make a new post every day so I thought I'd just keep this week here.
Dec. 2:
Calories consumed: 1,076
Calories burned: 0 (total rest day from running and cross training here).
Notes: Went on a trip to the grocery store to stock up on healthy foods. Prepped several meals for the rest of the week as well as healthy snacks. Bought only whole wheat and whole grain bread and bagels. Did not buy any pre-packaged or prepared food (except for cans of tuna and yogurt). Really stocked up on fresh fruits and veggies. Printed out healthy meal ideas, enough for over a week and bought most of the ingredients.

LOL Jen. No marathons! I have done 2 5k's, 1 half marathon and a 35 mile trail challenge. I'm planning for 2010 to be a big race year with at least one a month! I need to get in shape to be able to do all that!

good plan sara! thats amazing that you wanna do a race a month, u r one strong lady! i did measurement too, that reminds me to get them from my trainer and post them. r u going to post your food? i dont think you should be eating less than 1200 cals if you are running every day, that seems like a good amount, maybe just change where the cals are coming from?

Sarah - I usually eat ALOT more. I'm trying to cut back and see where I find a balance at. I'm doing a Body for Life type diet but I'm tracking it on thedailyplate.com so I won't re-post it all here.
Michelle - Thanks! But really I just have an addictive personality so I had to find a HEALTHY addiction and that is running!
