I used Jillian Michaels 30 day shred OHHHHHH MYYYY GOD. If you want to lose weight this is the best dvd i have ever tried. ever. It is KILLER on your muscles I was sooooooo sore after I did it the first day it was while i was wedding planning though and i just didnt have the time. It was better than any workout i had ever done though, even better than going to the gym. I felt so good afterwards because i knew i had worked out really hard. And when i woke up the next day i had proof! Just to warn you though youll feel like you got hit by a semi the first morning you wake up !!!!

I used the Carmen Electra "Strip Yourself Fit" video set a few years back. Didn't really tone me but it was a fun way to get moving. I've been debating on getting them out again.

I saw that strip one and was intrigued.

I ended up buying (so far, ha!) Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zones, Burn Fat and Boost Metabolism, and Core Rhythms since I know one of the dancers that made it I will be posting in my journal how I like them.

Tony Horton UML workout. Really great for several reasons:
1) 45 minutes including warm up and down;
2) the length counts down through the workout duration so you can see your goal getting closer and closer;
3) multiple sound options for playback (no need to listen to their music and/or voices if you don't want to);
4) more aerobic than most weight bearing exercises I have done;
5) NO STUFF needed! just uses your own body weight, showing modifications for girl shoulders or lower fitness levels.

Carrie Rezabek Pure Barre Technique. Total body but really busts lower body hard. She breaks down ballet plies and points to work on tightening up buns and thighs, and you really don't have to be a dancer to pick it up. It is a full hour, though, and it doesn't make me sweat much as it is mainly control work for toning muscles. But the whole workout is flexible to fitness levels, where you can take moves deeper or use a heavier weight (for upper body) as the basics become easier.
