Does anyone here do Weight Watchers?

With all my dramas towards the end of last year, I put on a bit of weight which I haven't managed to lose. I'm natually a small person, around 53-54kg's and am a size 8 to 10.

Over summer I literally haven't been able to even do up my size 10 pants and I've been feeling so disgusting and unattractive.

I have been 'dieting' (translation: trying to eat healthy and excerise more, I don't 'diet' very well - no will power!!) for the last month or so and have already lost almost 2kg's on my own. But I have a wedding in three weeks and I want to get into my only nice dress which is a size 8!

My manager has been doing WW and talked me into joining. I'm only wanting to lose another 5kg's so felt a little stupid walking into my first meeting yesterday, but the instructor told me everyone has their own goals and reasons for going, so I should continue going.

Just wondering if anyone else is already going to WW and can offer any advise/support?!

I did do weight watchers at home for a short while. I did see results from it. But I don't do it because I absolutely can not stand having to count points, or calories, etc. I aim to eat more good foods than bad and keep my portions down.

I hope things are going well for you!!

I did a few years ago and lost 75 lbs... I put it back on, but I've recently taken it off again with another program. I'm strongly considering returning to WW to get the last 25 lbs off!

I know that there are many many people who do weight watchers succesfully. For me I don't like it because I feel like I focus too much on portions and not enough on what I'm actually eating. Translation = I'll eat my points worth in crap and never learn to really eat healthy foods. Plus I REFUSE to count points or calories the rest of my life so that's not a route I'm interested in. I wanna learn to do it without those things. It's totally possible.

BUT for those of you ladies who are interested in doing weight watchers you should check out this site because she has some amazing recipes and the points are all calculated for you.

I did WW for a while a few years ago. I saw some results, but not nothing great. I really hated counting points. If you're eating packaged foods and can look on the back of the box for the nutrition info its really easy because they give you a little cheat sheet on how to figure out the points value based on the calories, fiber content and things like that. But if you make food from scrach it can be more difficult. I wasn't losing much weight and going to the meetings was interfering with my schedule so I stopped. I've known people who LOVE WW, so maybe I just didn't give it enough of a chance or it just wasn't for me. Honestly though, dieting on my own is not really working out either and I've been tempted to rejoin recently and see if I have better luck.

Good luck and keep us posted on how i goes!
