My Dr. had a cancellation so I was able to get into her this last saturday. I hadn't seen her for 4 years. Why I waited so long to go see her I have NO idea. There have been many changes in that time, some good, and some bad. She praised the good, and didn't make me feel like crap for the bad (my weight gain).
I had my first treatment of acupuncture. It wasn't bad though the ones in my feet for some reason bothered me the absolute most and left me feeling like I wanted to scratch the skin off them.
She outlined an eating plan and exercise plan for me.
Her goal for me is to hit 200lbs by August when we start ttc.
Today is Day #1. Starting weight is 265lbs
biggest obstacle to overcome = NO SUGAR!!! yep besides the 2-3 fruits a day I'm allowed I can't have any sugar. It'll be hard but it'll feel so good once my body rids itself of it.
I'll update to let you know how things go. I'm on a mission so be prepared to see results!!!
well it's been hard to get started this time around. last time it just clicked and I stuck with it. this time I'm having a much harder time. BUT I am on the right track.
This morning I was down 1.7lbs.
Not near as much as I need to be down but it's the right direction. Next week is gonna be even better!!
well I had my first follow up appt with my dr. this saturday and while I have been getting in more exercise, I've been struggling with the diet part of things. Sugar and carbs are my worst enemy I swear. The husband and I had a talk with the dr. and she gave me some suggestions....and she reminded me that I don't have to be perfect but changing some things are better than none.
She was however happy to see that I was down 5lbs from a month ago so I guess that's a start. We also had a talk about me ttc and she said she'd REALLY like to see me down 40lbs total before I get pregnant. I guess that means I've got 35lbs to go. I'll see her in a month and I hope to be down 10 more lbs by that point.
